    No King?

But not in BW trim, though they say it "should" be back in a few model years.

    Manual transmission take rate

I predict the same thing will happen with manual BW's when the order window closes on the '26 MY.

    No King?

I know that he posted a couple of years ago about leaving Sewell to become a day trader, but then went back to Sewell. He sort of painted himself into a corner with that title, so it seems like a good jump off point since we've reached the end of the line for BW's. 😉

    Manual transmission take rate

^^^Would be very interesting to see. No science, just an anecdotes, but every dealer stock order I've seen has been 10A, sunroof, and white or black (or similar low risk color). I bet sold orders were over 75% 6M...or at least I want to hope, and that would be very interesting data for an OEM...

    Manual trans owners--both 4 and 5

Maybe you are referring to the post above yours, but that TSB is specific to popping out of 3rd gear. I don't read it as a blanket indictment on all transmissions, rather if you have this issue and it was made within the specified window, it should be replaced. I don't think I've read of 3rd...

"Park" is that button on left side of the dash, no?

CT5-V Precision Pack Ride Quality Analysis

I love my CCB's but $9k is a tough pill. The benefits of PP for most of us is far too ambiguous to justify another $9k on top of CCB's. With that said, the rear toe link on the std suspension is inadequate, but I can fix that for a LOT less than $9k.

AUTO TRANSMISION AND CAR WASH MODE

I love the low response to this thread...everyone is like 🤷‍♂️ "I don't know, I don't abuse my BW by rolling though an automated car wash". It's not you @Daniel Goss, it's me.

Looking for Opinions on Dealership Diagnosis

I wouldn't let a service center going over board skew your perception of the car. I'd give the transmission fix a go, then I'll bet you'll be trouble free after that.

CT5-V Installed aftermarket carbon ceramic brakes on 5BW, pictures and impressions

I had the exact same thoughts as the OP when I place the order for my first 5BW: CCB was not a good value. I now have a 5BW with factory CCB and I'm amazed at the power and it almost seems like better ability to modulate. I'll never really notice the weight difference, but I can now allocate...

    2022 CT5-V Blackwing six-speed versus 2024 Model S Plaid

Over on the Lucid forum you'd think the Air is a GT3 RS..."best sports car I ever owned!". It's an extremely comfortable grand touring sedan and at 4,600lbs (rear drive Pure) it's actually on the light end of the EV scale, but a sports car it's not.

CT5-V Where is everyone getting new engine air filters?

Amazon can be a little spotty with counterfeit OEM parts, so I avoid ordering critical engine parts from that site.

Help with changing cabin air filter 5BW

I've been working on a lot of different cars lately but I think I used a tool of careful persuasion to get the sides to comply enough to get past the stops. There is no way I can get my mitts in there without lowering it past normal open, but I've heard that is how some people do it.

    2022 CT5-V Blackwing six-speed versus 2024 Model S Plaid

I think ICE and EV are both great, just leave the choice to consumers. We've been both since '21 (Lucid Air currently) and I love running errands and slab (boring freeway etc) in the Air and then when the adventure calls for ICE, we take that option. EV's own the temporary organ rearrangement...

CT5-V Unfortunately selling my CT5-V Blackwing, advice on where to list?

As a seller in the used market, you'll attract an interesting collection of characters, most of which are flippers and low ballers looking for that deal. Finding a true enthusiast willing to pay a fair price is hard to find. Cars and Bids and BaT are good for rare colors with all the carbons...

CT5-V 2025 CT5V BW battery dead, drivers manual key entry not functional

So the take away here is a classic forum quip: RTFOM? 🥲 I love it.

    Manual trans owners--both 4 and 5

NHTSA report for a transmission that is a little cranky on cold mornings? That seems a bit extreme (and probably a road nowhere). I just skip 2nd until there is some heat in the fluid. What also works is a double pull to 2nd; give it an attempt, back off briefly, then give it an attempt again...

    Spring Mountain Impressions

@kjt Yes, they have always been available, but they are limited quantities and none we're available for the class I attended so I had to settle for an auto. I already had an extension as I passed 1 year before I made time for SM, so I had to go on those dates.

    Spring Mountain Impressions

I'm all about the manuals (and the bass) but at SM the only option available was the automatic (5BW). It's a great transmission and its shifts dam near as fast as a DCT. It was less to think about while exploring the limits and probably made me a little faster on track. For how I use my BW 6M...

    5BW coolant level

I'm pretty sure the semi translucent nature of the tank changes the appearance a bit. My Ram is the same way, it looks different in a clear bottle vs the reservoir. You have the right coolant juice, let 'er eat!
