Owning a low volume production car can have its drawbacks...

Are the harnesses different than the non-Blackwing cars? We ran into rabbit trouble - yes, rabbit - last year with my daughter's Kia Soul. I'll skip the bulk of the story, and the photo with an arrow rammed through its neck in the corner of the garage. The first repair was about 3k, and we...

    Motorcycles, anyone?

I sold my Triumph Speedmaster when I first bought the CT4-V Blackwing. I miss it, and still love riding. We saw 3 fallen riders within 2 miles of my home in a span of less than 2 years. 2 were dead instantly. One was on Easter Sunday driving to church. I won't lie, seeing the black...

Pics of your Blackwing in regular parking spots

You never know what you might find when you come out of the store. I guess it is the holiday season now.

    Media dumps

I was not inferring I have been here longer than you. More that my design tastes are more old school than modern. Anyone who likes the older style has had plenty of opportunities to buy one. And even at large discounts this year. As you know, they were hard to come by early on. I'm sure it...

    Media dumps

Still not my style, but no doubt the graphics are sharp and there is more customization available. GM did a solid job. Although I do prefer the driver's display gauges, especially the track mode. Congratulations Eric! At the end of the day, these Blackwings are all about driving sensations...

    Media dumps

2025 buyers should pony up for the track package, manual tranny, and hope it is the last year of production. I believe it will continue for at least 2026, but if this is one year and done... and most won't want to pay for the upgrade... it will be a unicorn in short order.

    2025 M5 vs. 2025 CT5-V BW

I'm a residential architect, but that does not mean jack diddly. We all see things differently. Besides, I always say, architects are like hockey goalies... "he wasn't right, in the head"

    Media dumps

Looks like the guys who really track the car are going to appreciate the track package. Pricey, yes, but the benefits for good drivers are apparent. I'm still not a fan of the screen, but it is great the way the infotainment area curves to face the driver. Much better in that regard...

    2025 M5 vs. 2025 CT5-V BW

Don't get me wrong, I like the back end. But leaving it completely unchanged on the 25s with new predator face - poor design. Bean counting I guess. Most buyers are enamored with "approach lighting animation" and TV screens inside, and probably don't care about the back end anyways.

    2025 M5 vs. 2025 CT5-V BW

No doubt about that. Count me in the minority that thinks the new M5 front end is better or at least as good as the new Blackwing front end. But neither is attractive. And still nobody talks about the Blackwing back end... how they changed nothing there after going forced-aggression on the...

    Software update letter from Cadillac?

I'm sure it was. After I agreed to buy mine, they notified me there was one open recall on the car, and it was for this reason.

    Software update letter from Cadillac?

I logged about 220 Colorado miles over yesterday and today. Took it out this morning for church at 7:30am. It was low 30s, but after tracking at Spring Mountain in those temps, I'm not worried about it. We get so many mild winter days. You do need to be careful where you go, as shade covered...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Huge congrats, Nick! Glad you plunged on this available unit. You made out waaaaaaaayyyyyyyy better than getting a 25. Everyone who has seen mine has asked about the color. It is really catchy in a non-flashy way, and adds this subtle, unique splash to our "old man car". Those detailer...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

7 days at the magic shop. DAMN. First time I have opted for correction, full PPF, ceramic, tint. Had to go all in on this amazing color. Front markers will be blackened and monochrome emblems next. Definitely leaving the car de-badged aside from the front and back monos. I have the black...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Ahem... one of the rare benefits of owning BDT... that unique piece of black sparkly plastic looks like... Black Diamond Tricoat!!

Anyone rolling a Black Diamond Tricoat Blackwing yet?

F&*K Nick!! So sorry to read that. Looks like PDR will pop that out. My brand new 2022 Rift arrived from Sewell with a small door ding on the back door. Dustin immediately covered a local PDR guy to fix it . After it was done, I would only know where it was from the photo before it was...

Anyone rolling a Black Diamond Tricoat Blackwing yet?

Oh hell yah! Thanks Nick and SW. I had them on my manual 4, maybe Dustin offered them on my 5 and I never got them. I'm definitely getting these for my car.

Anyone rolling a Black Diamond Tricoat Blackwing yet?

You had this badge on the front of a manual CT5-V Blackwing? Maybe I am mis-remembering something. I did not think it was offered on 5 Blackwing manual for some reason.

Anyone rolling a Black Diamond Tricoat Blackwing yet?

I think they look good with your Bronze wheels. I wish I could do the monochromatic badges, but I recall they don't offer one for the front in manual. PS, I drooled much over your photos as I dreamed the Black Diamond Tricoat dream! You, me, and Nick all in the BDT5 club, and I think one or...
