Hard to sell looking like this!

I lived in the Oakland Hills for a bit, and man I got daggers from all my neighbors for washing my V2 Wagon out in the street. So Hood. I'm supposed to "have a man for that" :ROFLMAO:

LOL - Fair enough, maybe an UBER sticker in the front window, then

    Norcal/Bay Area blackwing meetup

Sounds interesting! Keep me posted, hopefully this turns into multiple drives on different weekends on different routes. I'm in the North Bay which is a real stretch for a lot of folks, but the roads up here are epic. I'm the sole Blackwing I'm aware of that's been to a Breakfast Club Rally...

    The Blackwing Spotting Thread

Not going to lie, I sometimes fantasize about replacing my V badge (I didn't get the Blackwing badge on my '22) with a "350 T"

This all checks out... The lowest car insurance premium I ever had was with my V2 CTS-V Wagon. My premium dropped by hundreds of dollars a month. When I was in my 20's I had a bugeye WRX. I got 2 speeding tickets in the first week of ownership. I don't like to talk about the insurance on that...

2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Brougham Edition Sets Sail With Classic Caddy Cues

OR maybe this is GENIUS. Imaging passing Porsche GT3s in this thing on a track day ... :ROFLMAO: A better april fools would have been the announcement of the CT5-V Blackwing Wagon; the car internet would have melted down.

Cadillac Smart Driver and Privacy Concerns

That's a real shame. I see R&T and C&D getting thinner and thinner - and soon they will be gone, replaced entirely by paid automotive influencers. Journalists complain bitterly about this, but I dunno maybe do your job?

Cadillac Smart Driver and Privacy Concerns

    1) "Drivers who have realized what is happening are not happy. The Palm Beach Cadillac owner said he would never buy another car from G.M. He is planning to sell his Cadillac." Fellow Blackwing owner, I wonder? It's fairly ridiculous for GM to sell cars like Blackwings and Z06 Vette's with this...

    CT5-V Opinions (Used car purchase)

17K is not a lot if it's a '22, and it's possible the prior owner would have worked out any 'gremlins' by now. The exception is if this is a 'fleet' car. If so, the salesman will tell you it was the dealership manager's grandmother's car - but don't believe him!!!!

I see a lot of people not liking the sunroof option

I'm in the 'daily driver' club and I've got one as well. The negatives are all true, of course, but one thing in the plus column for the sunroof is that you can open it up and hear more of the exhaust sound :)

100% not even trying. I think it was for entertainment value, to not show up the M3 too much (as there is no manual M5), and to play into existing prejudices. Europeans tend to be a bit snooty when it comes to American cars, if the 5BW had been made by Jaguar you can bet it would have been...

    Media dumps

I got the feeling they were, as we say in the UK, 'arsing about' instead of doing a proper review. Jethro has decent credentials as a journalist, can drive, and wrote a largely positive review of the 5BW in Evo magazine, although of course it just lost out to the M5 CS, because it's a European...

EV Thoughts Thread: cause the old farts did their usual thing

LOL ... TBF those Hagerty Icons videos aren't described as an actual 'review'. Anything about the CT is a clicks/engagement machine, and I suspect Hagerty have to play nice (esp. when you factor in the legions of online trolls and Tesla's legal department). In those sorts of videos, any cons...

Though market adjustments were a thing of the past? Not in Florida

I haven't been paying enough attention I didn't even know this was a thing: 20th Anniversary of V-Series Commemorative content: Includes 20th Anniversary grille header decal and unique cluster wake up animation IMO too many 'special' editions. 120th, 20th, IMSA x3, Mondrian ... I know BMW...

    Media dumps

Eh, maybe it's just me but the Sport Classic feels entirely cynical - it's not quite a sticker pack for the Turbo, but it's darn close to high-class version of that. No enthusiast I know would take one over a GT3 Touring. I could stand corrected but over the long run a mint 5BW might be more...

Performance isn't the point of that car. It's an investment asset for the most loyal customers of the top Porsche dealers, a bit like having fine art or collectable wine.

    Is it a toy?

For me one of the most attractive things about the 5BW is that it can be the ultimate 'one car garage'. You can eat up the interstate miles in total comfort, rip twisty/fun sections of a canyon road, do a few laps of a road course - maybe even all on one road trip- all the while being somewhat...
