I originally ordered my bw from Isaac when he was at a different dealership but they didn't get any allocations. I followed him when he switched to Heritage a year and a half ago and he hooked me up with an allocation. He's very good.
As much as I like the manual in my bw, I have a lexus with an automatic for my daily driver. For simplicity and ease of use in daily driving I prefer the automatic. But there is nothing like having an lt4 at the ready when you want it.
My dad used to a get a new car every 2.5-3 years from his job. He had probably had 4 or 5 Oldsmobile Custom Cruisers over the years. The big suv's are definitely not the same as those old big boats. I miss those wagons and Oldsmobile itself....
My update came through on Thursday. I tried installing it while I was washing the car. My phone told me it wasn't successful, the car never said a thing and it isn't showing in the update history. I haven't gotten it back yet to try again.
New A/C compressor did the trick. 30 miles home yesterday with the ac on and working the whole time. Now I have to wash it. Sitting in the service center got it a nice coat of dust. I could almost post in the dirty blackwing thread but you really have to zoom in to see it.
I agree. I thought it should have been an easy call by the tech to order the new compressor. He had to wait for Cadillac to respond to the service ticket before he could order the parts. At least they responded within hours instead of days.
Cadillac responded quickly to the ticket. They were expecting to hear back next week. The parts are already on order. I'm getting a new condenser and tensioner belt. Hopefully that takes care of it.
For anyone keeping tabs on my air conditioning. This morning's trip to Cadillac didn't fix it. The brand new tensioner belt they installed earlier this week was shredded within about 20 miles on the highway with normal use on my way home. They have now opened a case with Cadillac to proceed...
Picked up the car at the dealer this morning. AC was working fine when I got it. By the time I got home 30 miles later it was not. They replaced the drive belt tensioner which was missing. I'll be heading back to the dealer soon. The oil was changed successfully. At least that is...
