Here is my two cents. Sewell is a respected dealership to here in Texas. I have not personally dealt with them but I know people that have spoken highly of them. Take that for what it's worth.
For those of you who did the Gigs throttle body install on a CT4 blackwing. Care to share any tips? What was your method of removing the quick disconnects required for the install? Thank you.
my advice to you would be for you to add a Gigs ported throttle body and a Tapout oversized air lid with or without the oiled filter. Seat of the pants is a definite difference and you will also see a boost increase of approx 3 psi. That alone is worth the money. If you want to further take...
Your down time will be about a week. My local tuner says he can unlock about 50% of the ECM’s on site. If not it’s overnight to HP and overnight back then a day or so to tune.
On a stock vehicle you will see little to no gains from the oiled type of filters. Where they do shine is on modified vehicles where a stock filter may become a restriction. I will say that after I installed my Tapout carbon fiber air lid ( oversized) along with oiled green filters I saw a 3 psi...
I currently have the JB4 and the Tapout oversized carbon air/green filters lid with the added colder plugs. I am also about to install the the Tapout catless down pipe, larger throttle body and the Motorad ignition coils. I am going to change out the muffler part of the exhaust then send to a...
I am currently running the jB4 and I will be getting a HP tune very soon. I do not trust this device. I am not comfortable with the constant check engine light that pops up. I have a 700+ hp LS based truck that is HP tuned. I feel more comfortable with a dedicated tune than a caned tune.
If you are very careful you can get behind the grill and push on the clips that hold the emblem in. Go slow. once you get a few loose the rest kinda fall in line with the process. Then you just push the new emblem in. I broke one clip but there are like seven or eight. Make sure you get the AAC...
Yes , this is the savage ACC emblem. It’s not a true carbon piece. It does have some kind of overlay. It’s not ideal but I will sport this until I find something better 🤷🏼♂️
I like the size. I think the CT5 is a bit too large for my taste. I did have some difficulty getting things in the trunk or the backs seat but overall it’s a peppy daily driver!!
Hello, all. My name is Joe and I’m the proud owner of a 2022 CT4 Blackwing. I have been lurking around getting a feel for the forum. I come from the truck/LS world so still trying to get familiarized with the platform. As they say, more is more so I’m going down that MOD rabbit hole once again🤦🏻♂️
Hello, I had a question in regard to your exhaust set-up. This appears to be a black widow muffler, do you remember which Mosel it was? I know you state is is a 10" but is this a 3" or a 2.5" in/out? Same with the Y pipe, 3" or 2.5"? This is exactly what I am looking to do. Hope to hear back.
