14V while the engine (and alternator) is running is what you should see. A resting battery in the car should be 12.6v. Mine runs 12.0-12.4 measured at the engine compartment +/- terminals. But I have a 2 ch dashcam with parking mode operating so I would expect I have more parasitic...
It is quite a ways to LV and the entire way is a very lucrative area for Nv Highway Patrol speed traps so they recommend you drive at or below the speed limit all the way back and they focus on later in the day returns to LV. So unless you are taking a near midnite flight early the next day is...
I am not, but have been in the past. A very cool show. Last time I went was about 20 years ago. It was in San Jose, Ca that year. As I was standing at one booth looking at their wares, I was next to a short balding gentleman with little hair that looked very european that was asking about a...
The LT4 supercharged motor has an ECM that will not show all monitors ready at anything less than 1000-1200 miles. Ca CARB folks know that and have approved it. So if you want to smog an out of state new car purchase with less that that amount of miles simply skip the normal STAR certified...
Did mine and the center stack is all wonky. I use and love the BMW style knob for choosing Audio stations. I use Sirius XM a lot and am continually switching between stations as I drive. With the new update the center stack switches from the Audio screen to either full Nav screen or split...
I concur with the front subframe bolt. The problem with pinch weld items is that they don't clear the carbon fibre in the front of the 4BW but do in the rear.
I got the same feel in both my ATS-V and the 4BW. It is not a feel I got in the C7Z06. I have always felt it was the EDiff fighting to keep both wheels with traction. In my case the rear is not breaking loose, it is just a bit of wander from the rear both right and left. It was a bit...
I know what the pads are for the C7Z06, the ATS-V and the 4BW. The front pads are the Z26-1405s in each case. I have no idea what pad the 5BW uses but some in here have suggested it is the Z26-1405. I would confirm that before ordering however.
Yes, I bought one box which has 8 strips. I only used two of them. One under the center of the splitter and I cut one in half and used each half under the splitter scallop where it comes closer to the ground. My CF splitter has 5.5 inches of ground clearance in the center and 5 inches where...
Carbotech also makes their 1521 ceramic compound in this size. The tracings I was making were sent to the President of Carbotech that confirmed that their C7Z06/ATS-V pad would fit. I happened to have a set of Z26 pads for my ATS-V that I put on the 4BW. I used the Carbotechs on my Z06.
I can confirm that the Z26-1405 front pads and the Z26-1718 rear pads fit the 4BW just as they fit the ATS-V just as they fit the C7Z06 just as they fit the SS Camaro. I have no idea on the 5BW. They do not have that cutout for the brake pad sensor, so that has to be removed from the old pad...
I also had mine wrapped, but the scrapping fixed the bottom part of the PPF by removing it. I did add SlipLo protection that should keep that from getting any worse. But at some point I likely will replace the splitter. At a delivered price not far from $800 it is not too bad.
May be. I have an early Mar 22 build date car that somehow had both CF packages and was a car ordered by the dealer for stock. So I won the lottery somehow on getting the CF. BTW, I already am looking at a new front splitter as they are so low. Our cars could use the front end raise...
I got a screw near the sideway at 206 miles on mine. I was at Discount Tire and they couldn't get the TPC, so I got the regular 4S. Tire Rack did have the TPC version however. Here is the TPC sidewall
Here is the non TPC sidewall
If you want Nomex go ahead and get proper racing shoes but they are expensive. And you will need nomex if you are running in any sanctioned road racing series, but if you just do an odd track day, wrestling shoes have the same construction but are not fire resistant and are about one third the...
I don't have the sticker yet, but did get the CF license plate frame with the word Blackwing on it that somebody had posted in another thread. I expect that will relegate the sticker to the toolbox when it does arrive.
The C7 model had a 12v cigar adapter end and a receptacle in the trunk, at least for my Z06 and it worked well. I am using a Norco 10 on by BW and hooking it up to the posts under the hood. My smaller 0.75a and 1.5a tenders would also work under the hood but not as well. But the Norco is...
Several of the GM Parts Websites say that the splitter old #84433235 has been replaced by new PN 85563054. Looks the same and about the same price.
