Most interesting. I used it on my ATS-V but the mirror mount on my 4BW is canted about 30 degrees to the right of the centerline of the car. I would use it for a dashcam and that wouldn't give me the coverage I want. I don't think the mount will articulate where it is attached to the...
I have a blendmount that I used for my Dashcam in my ATS-V. It won't work on the 4BW. It requires a mirror mount that runs down the center axis of the car to work and apparently it does for the 5BW folks but in the 4BW that mount is canted so you can't get the mount squared up to the front.
I bought the set shown above and use it often. If you are going to get at your battery you certainly will use most of them. To pull that side stiff liner you need to pull the trunk edge protector and it has 4 of those metal clips as well as two bolts under the tie downs and the liner has 2 of...
I use SlipLo. It seems to work well. I have both CF packages and before the SlipLo I did have a couple of spots in my World that would scrape. Also a very easy install. There are 8 strips in one of their Ultra packages and I only used 2 strips. A full strip in the middle and a half strip...
Will this stand up to repeated erasures and rewrites? I recall I ended up getting a San Disk Extreme Plus Endurance or some such. It is in the car so I can't reach it as I type this, but the constant read and rewrites as even a big card is written over is an issue.
Their braking performance is fine for street driving. I used Carbotech ceramic pads on my C7Z and Power Stop on my ATS-V with no problems for years. And I did donate my OEM pads to track folks as that pad is good for the occasional track day.
1718 is the standard rear pad size for the ATS-V, Camaro SS and C7Z06. Readily available most everywhere. It doesn't yet have the sensor cut outs however. I actually pulled mine and traced them and sent the tracings to Carbotech and they confirmed it was the same size as my ATS-V pads...
Besides the small access there is a whole lot attached to that battery particularly that positive terminal. Glad the dealer is changing it out. Thanks for the video. I had my 18 ATS-V for 4 years but the battery never needed replacing.
Interesting. Essex carries a pad for the 4 BW but not for the 5 BW. Their part for the 4 BW is the same pad for the C7Z, Camaro SSs, CTS-V, and ATS-V. However it does not have the missing backing plate and pad material to fit the brake sensor the newer car has. So you just pull the sensor...
Although the cause sucks, it is probably as easy of a fix as any problem could be. Does anybody have any idea how to actually get at that battery? It appears there are a couple of pull plugs up by the left trunk support that need to be pulled and then the trunklining can be pulled back. My...
I have been buying warranties on my Corvettes since the C4 era in any case where I have kept them over the basic warranty period and have NEVER ended up with a net negative expenditure. I have always received more in warranty claims, generally much more, than the warranty cost. Now admittedly...
Corvetteforum had and likely still has a supporting vendor that sells the GM ext warranty nationwide (except for the few states that now require a state insurance license to sell the coverage). Maybe the site people here can reach out to them and see about signing them on for this forum also...
When it was owned by GM, no. I had engines and transmissions replaced on my Corvettes in the 80's. It is now farmed out and just branded GM, but I still have never heard of a cap.
In the past I have used the cars hard enough the extended warranties were a good idea. I have learned to not buy the warranty until the 33 month of a 36 month basic warranty. So it would be at 45 months for us. The extension begins at purchase so why not get the maximum time available. I...
Perry here. My first new car was a 67 GTO with M4. My first new Corvette was a 76 L48. My first new Cadillac was a 77 Coupe de Ville. I owned one 3rd Gen Camaro 1LE CMC race car and then a 93 Camaro CMC race car I campaigned for 5 seasons. I owned two C4 Corvettes. A 93 Fortieth Ann Vert...
Try this link to see their pics of a Midnight Steel. Also note both CF packages but also note their window sticker which doesn't show the packages! Are the CF packages stock on the 2023s?

That is correct. Although it looks like it barely clears once you pump the jack up you would be on the CF splitter.
Notice the aluminum plate and SS bolt near this pinch weld? I put the jack just behind that bolt to get the front up.
Do you have the CF packages? I have a set and they work for the back pinch weld but not for the front pinch weld as the CF skirt is too close to the pinch weld.
