I lived in Illinois for 20 years with road salt. The last car I had in Illinois was about 10 years old with body panel rust. Any vehicle over 10 years old seemed to have rust. It seems that brine is even worse than road salt.

Speaking of winter. How long does it take to wash/remove brine from the roads? The roads were brined about two days ago for a winter storm. We didn't get any ice/snow, but the rain may have helped wash some of it off (about .75" of rain).

I have a manual, so I'm in the buckle your seatbelt and go (take it easy until it's warm). Not the A10s, but in my auto truck I wait about 20 seconds. The main reason is that the P->R is smooth after the engine has settled and fluid has pumped through the transmission.

I was able to get it free. I ended up using WD40 to loosen the top clip. There are 3 total clips. The 2 plastic clips came out normal, but the third is metal.

I can see that the top clip is stuck. Not sure what to do with it. You can see the fatigue on the plastic as I try to pry it out.

I just got my 4BW and am looking at hardwiring a Uniden R4 and dashcam. I'm trying to get the fuse panel off. I was able to get the two front clips loose, but nothing. I feel like I'm going to break something if apply any more pressure. Is there a trick to get it off?

I can give you background on my ordered 4BW. It showed up on Cadillac and the dealer website as in transit in early November. The initial date said November 18, then November 29, then just in transit. The dealer received it on December 17th. Once it shows "In Transit", it could arrive in 7-8...

Yes, they do show in transit. The date may not be accurate.

Yes. It was delivered to the dealer yesterday.

Some have commented on paint issues. It will be difficult to examine the paint if it's still dirty. I have no way to verify their cleaning process.

What's the consensus on the dealer washing the car? They told me they have a laser touchless and use new towels on vehicles. When I got my 350Z, I told them to leave the plastic wrap on and not wash it.
