My response was to Neveready and the link he posted with the cheaper Etsy coin printing. I wasn't talking about our original plan. However, I did try to call the "team" today to make sure about the plastic piece and they didn't pick up so hopefully I can confirm that the plastic piece comes with...
this is actually a great idea for the price but the problem is there is a little plastic piece attached to the bottom of the medallion with a pattern that sets in and screws into the shifter as shown in the instructional YouTube video I previously posted. So how would we get the coin to attach...
Sure I can try to see who has one and ask them.. but I'm confused why we would even need to do that since we are not copying the 120th exactly and not including the shift pattern.. I already made the logo wouldn't we just need the diameter of the medallion and we just center the logo I made as...
The
The forums were shut down all week that's why I said we're back in business. "The man" doesn't want us to have nicer shift medallions! 😜 Anyway I'm ready to move forward with an official proposal with the logo me and @rubberduck agreed upon as long as I know at least 5 people are officially...
I only spoke to someone who works in their front office and told me I would have to submit an official proposal to get an accurate price but she said off the top of her head it would be north of $1000 for 5 pieces.
Sounds good. But remember it's 3d printed high grade stainless steel won't be too cheap. I would say rough estimate expect maybe $250 a piece for 5ppl maybe less if we can get 10ppl.
Just made a bunch of phone calls and have a few family members that live in Michigan. I've been looking for the 120th medallion way before I found this thread I think it looks awesome.. so are we ok with getting close to the original design? I need at least 5 to 10 people on board or it's just...
What backstory? The cars we own obviously do not have an original Blackwing engine. I'm not disagreeing with you on that. The ct6v doesn't even come in a manual and a 1930s engine probably maxed out at 35 mph. These new logos were designated to our cars by the marketing team or engineers or...
They all have the same logo. I literally just looked up 2 different individual models that have been sold and they both have the same exact shift knob logo.

They are very similar but the older logo has the smaller crown on top which I really like. I actually like it a lot especially the draft 2 version and if it were completely up to me I'd still throw in a shift legend. I thought the whole purpose of this thread was to get close to the 120th...
no offense I'm sure this would look great on a classic car but on a newer car it reminds me of the 80s Cadillacs as a young kid which was probably the worst decade for Cadillac's reputation in history lol. A little too tacky and bloated IMO. Are you really against the draft 2 version with the...
so how about we just keep it simple and go with something like this in the same material as the stock medallion? I will try asking about making it easy swappable but I'm guessing it would be much easier to stick to the original part specs.
They want us to create our own design I think as long as there is just a slight difference it should be ok. Anyone with some graphic design skills able to draft a few choices that I can send to them? I'd still like to keep the original Cadillac crown logo from 1930 maybe add a small Blackwing...
I believe installation would be pretty similar to the video below considering the transmission is also a TR6060. Let me know if there is any difference you found in the Cadillac design.
Just talked to the team that produces the official shifter medallions for Cadillac. If enough people are interested we can do a group order but we would have to change the design slightly can't have the exact same one as the 120th anniversary due to obvious reasons. Please let me know if...
Same here but maybe @WONT TAP can clarify what this rattling noise is and if it causes any power deficiencies or problems? I usually notice it from the front of the car while accelerating with windows down after a cold start and less noticable when the car warms up. Sounds like a plastic zip tie...
Is the wastegate issue an actual problem or just an annoying noise? I noticed it also.. Usually it means that the turbos are going bad but this is on a brand new car!
