As fun as the older bmws can be, just make sure you’re ok going back to an older car like e36 M3…sometimes old memories are different than reality of driving a 30 year old car. Having said that, I do love that car especially the LTW variant.

The R8 looks awesome especially in that spec and with a bonus Akrapovic exhaust. I’ve had a gen 1 R8 manual v10 for a decade now…you will love it!

I also vote for the 24 model. I have one similar to the one you listed minus sunroof. For me, the added options add to the experience of the car, especially the top tier seats and ceramic brakes. I also want a car I like the aesthetics of, and the older front end still looks more aggressive...

Do you think for the future ct5-v blackwing exhaust can the oem tips be retained? Maybe too early to know since R&D stage but thought I’d influence R&D or at least have those tips as an option to customers if desired. Thanks!

I think he paid a few thousand over msrp so maybe the dealer recognized that with their kind heart.

I wouldn’t buy a new blackwing with 92 miles. That dealer will experience karma when it sits for months as a “used” car.

I like both wave and coastal…mine happens to be coastal but I would have been happy with either 😉

I think the black badges will look nice on the green. I did all of the badges and emblems from savage and 404parts.

Personally, I would get the 20” wheels and tires to get the look you desire plus the wheels will look killer on the car. The problem with lowering springs at older age is getting in and out of a lower vehicle as well as increased potential to scrape carbon fiber splitter. Just my $0.02.

Yesh unfortunately in Chicago you need an AWD car for those days with heavier snow (not as bad past few years though) and the RS4 with a manual transmission and V8 with 8250 rpm rev limit makes the winter commute enjoyable. It’s 17 years old but has held up pretty well despite many winters. In...
