What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Got caught in the North Carolina snowstorm last night bc of a poker game. Had to drive home 60 miles through the white stuff. With the A/S Michelins, it was a non-event. I had to pass a bunch of cars on the highway & the only time it got sketchy was when an 18-wheeler roared by me & caused a...

    Anti-Theft - IGLA?

Greetings from a former New Yorker! (Grew up in Rockland County & then lived on the Upper East Side across from Gracie Mansion.) I have the Soler Bluetooth Throttle Controller for my 5BW & C8 HTC Stingray Z06. Besides having multiple maps for throttle control, it allows for turning off the...

CT5-V Anyone else had the Infotainment not boot up on engine start?

Have not experienced the Infotainment system not booting up. However, have had plenty of times when my phone would not connect with Android Auto to the car.

    CT4-V 4BW to C8, tempted

Firstly, congratulations on putting so many miles on your 4BW. You obviously use it like it's meant to be. Kudos! I have a '23 5BW (delivered 1/2023) & '23 C8 Stingray HTC 2LT (delivered 9/2022). The C8 has MagnaRide, performance exhaust & GT2 seats. I couldn't get the Z51 package bc it was on...

Absolute Dearth of All-Season Tires for CT5-V Blackwing

If you're looking at an Integra or M2/M3 as a comparo, then I think you should be looking at the 4BW instead of the 5BW. There are plenty of A/S tires available for the 4BW OE wheels.

CT5-V Max tire size (diameter, width) you can put on stock 5BW suspension w/no rubbing?

Yes. With the 325 on the 19, it would rub on the inside. The 6mm spacer brought it out enough so it would not.

CT5-V Max tire size (diameter, width) you can put on stock 5BW suspension w/no rubbing?

https://www.cadillacvnet.com/forums/threads/absolute-dearth-of-all-season-tires-for-ct5-v-blackwing.5615/post-109453 I had to add 6mm spacers on the rears to avoid rubbing the inside wheel well liner.

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Just back from the car wash. I've had her for almost exactly 2 years. Picked her up from Otto Cadillac in Albany, NY on 1/28/2023. Currently have 38,349 on the odo. I've loved every single mile.

Unfortunately, because of my work sked, I won't be able to make it out until the one in March.

Decision Time, wouldn't mind the wisdom of the crowd

The CF is an easy aftermarket add-on. The PDR can be added on later but at a MUCH higher cost & level of difficulty. All things being equal, I'd take the '24. Any warranty differences between to the 2 vehicles since the '24 is used?

    5BW burning oil

I recently noticed I was 1 qt low. I'm at 25% oil life left. I know it was topped off correctly at the last oil change bc I personally know the dumbass tech very well since he also owns and drives the car. I was 1 qt low in between my last oil change as well.

Device(s) to Help Prevent Cadillac From Being Stolen?

To take out the controller, you have to: Get into the footwell Remove the throttle pedal (held in by a bolt) Disconnect the throttle controller from a fiddly OEM connector on the pedal Disconnect the throttle controller module from the OEM fiddly connector Connect the OEM cable to the pedal...

    Cars & Coffee - Raleigh, NC on 12/22 @ 8am

Met BimmerFan & one other forum member today. We all braved the cold to meet & greet. Unbeknownst to us, there were a few other 4/5 BW's showing up as well. Altogether, there were 6 of us -- 4 5BW & 2 4BW. We all agreed this is the most number of BW's we've ever seen in one place/C&C.

    Cars & Coffee - Raleigh, NC on 12/22 @ 8am

I plan on being there tomorrow even though the temps are forecast to be in the low-30's. There might be one other person from this forum there. This C&C usually tends to be on the smaller side with only a few hundred or so cars in attendance. (Dunno how many will actually attend given the cold...

You need to take that to the track. Those things are SUCH a hoot on a track! Even better -- a snow rally course!
