More Aggressive CT5-V Blackwing Carbon Front Splitter

Hey @Terrance Sig have you seen this thread about some sort of clips needed for the CF splitter? You've been under both kinds of cars I assume? Do the CF splitters need another part to attach properly to the front end, or is it just the same bolt holes that the non-CF splitter uses?

    Official Cyber Yellow Thread

You honestly think I'll be caught dead in public parking next to your car if you get that color? ;-)

    Official Cyber Yellow Thread

It wouldn't surprise me. GM re-uses most of their colors in one way or another, and adding green was exactly what they did for the C8's "baby diarrhea" yellow. So your impression is probably spot on. Sean, you have better taste than that, I know you do. Of course... you DID buy two bright...

    Dogs/Pets

Funny: one of mine (the fox red one) is Zeus as well. Sunday morning: loaded up in the BigRedTruck, and off on a 2.5 hour drive to see my lady friend in PA: Later that night, Hercules decided to sit on Zeus' back, which wasn't what I'd intended: (My hairy legs, too. Ignore those).

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

It's been a busy week or so. Last weekend, off to Poor-sha's "garage" (haha) for a custom 4-wheel alignment. Results: a good compromise between street and track. This past week: to the dealer for a brake and differential fluid flush now that I've finally passed the 1500 mile mark. Then...

Engine Break In - 500 mi or 1500 mi

That's not .. exactly... what happens. The are dyno-driven, but not anywhere NEAR redline. It's done for a quick emissions test. And they aren't "beating the crap" out of them, either. As I said at the beginning of this thread: the engine doesn't need a break-in. The differential does...

Engine Break In - 500 mi or 1500 mi

I'd imagine with a large enough pair of balls and hitting T10 perfectly at SPR Main, 140 down the main straight wouldn't be out of the question either.

    What is this "semi-aniline" stuff?

Sounds like the constraints are loosening up. Good news!

    What is this "semi-aniline" stuff?

They weren't on constraint when you ordered your car. They are, now. No one gets them now unless they order the hyper-expensive Anniversary package (which isn't available any longer). Until they come off constraint, it doesn't matter how special you think you are, you're not getting them. ;-)...

    What is this "semi-aniline" stuff?

Sure folks, "only way to fly" and "worth it to you" assuming you can get them. :-)

    What is this "semi-aniline" stuff?

You can look up "Semi-aniline leather" online to get a better description of it. The reason the cost is so high is that it includes the carbon fiber seat backs. Those are worth substantially more than the leather itself. And they're probably also on constraint until GM's carbon fiber supply...

Made a new ZO6 owner cry today.

I feel like I lost valuable IQ points reading the OP. Sorry for the click. What a crock of shit.

    CT5-V 5BW Wheels and Sensors

Can someone check my work here? I want to get another set of OEM wheels and pressure sensors. I believe these are the satin black 5BW wheels: Front: 84319218 (need 2) Rear: 84319222 (need 2) Sensors: 13538760 (need 4) Sensor nuts: 13581557 (need 4) Look right?

CT5-V Carbon Ceramic Brakes and Track Durability

The pitting is from oxidation, and oxidation happens to CC rotors when they hit a certain surface temperature. They're perfectly functional in that state, but as you say: they nuke pads much faster. FWIW I ran the same brakes on my 2010 ZR1 at the track; have LOTS of experience with them. As...

CT5-V Carbon Ceramic Brakes and Track Durability

Remember that the CCB rotors evaporate from the inside out. So as mentioned, measuring the thickness is generally not the right way to determine their longevity. Weighing them is. And yes, weighing them is a pain in the ass.

Gas Guzzler Tax Added to Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing

They were not. They can't. It's a tax that YOU HAVE TO PAY, as the customer. It's to punish YOU for buying an evil, gas-guzzling pig. It only punishes the manufacturer because they have to add that cost to the sticker which risks turning folks off.
