Just because you can comment on a thread, doesn't mean it's a good idea. You should really move on from this one because you're starting to look silly.
"A lot of extra care" = an unsafe driving condition. What if you need to stop quickly? Get the proper tool for the job, or put your (and...
Actually, if you want drag radials, I'd say 18" wheels & tires are the way to go.
Given that, I'm curious if anyone's found 18s that fit over our brakes.
Anyone know if the CCBs are the same diameter, etc. as the stock brakes?
These cars have been out for a while, but I don't see many (if any) posts outlining folks who have tried increasing tire width and/or diameter, together with their associated results.
I know Cadillac engineers got pretty close to maxing out tire under the wheel well, but how close, exactly...
I know it's just a matter of time, but has anyone taken off the blower and put in some turbo action yet?
I'm certainly not crazy enough to void a warranty on a $100K car, but someone must be... 🤔
That's exactly it. I grew up in Michigan with many people working at GM. To release a car that Michiganders can't even drive half the year is unconscionable to me. I'm having a hard time believing it, to be honest. It's disappointing.
I'll figure something out. Right now I'm looking at 20s...
I saw that once upon a time there were Cooper all-seasons in correct sizing, by they were discontinued quite a while ago... like years ago.
Thanks, but having one tire properly mounted and one stretched on an inch larger rim does not work for me, nor should I have to make it work.
Bold and...
Michelin ZPs (Zero Pressure) are run-flat tires, which are absolutely horrible.
I shouldn't have to look for a one-off all-season tire for an OEM application.
Other, more on-the-ball manufacturers (BMW, Mercedes, Lexus, etc.) have agreements with at least one major tire manufacturer to supply...
You mean the one with just three sizes?
Are you talking about the Michelin A/S 4 ZP run flats? Because I've never heard anything good about run-flats, no matter what brand...
You'd think that for a $100K+ vehicle Cadillac would have worked with Continental or Michelin to get at least ONE SET of all-season tires in OEM spec for the Blackwing, yes?
Instead, there is ...... nothing in A/S available for our cars.
There's "screwing the pooch", then there's GM... 😒
Uh, no. You're paying for the customer whose car has been there a year (cannibalized for parts for someone else's build) who has gone to court to sue them. Before the court date, they give the other person your money.... and so it goes, again again.
I can't believe: (1) they still advertise...
That is killer... almost like it was made for those tires. 😯
So, no rubbing whatsoever?!?
Are your fenders rolled?
Have you checked at the extreme yet (e.g. with two adults in the back seat, hitting a large depression at speed, etc.)?
