    Upgraded

Satisfactorily, not great not bad. With the CPO and low miles the 5 was pretty pricey, but certainly not a price for a new one. Trade was average.

    Upgraded

Traded 2033 4BW towards a CPO 2024 5 BW...now I've really hit the big time. Summit White with the Light gray seats and minimal options. Who needs 'em...Amazing difference and an even better all-rounder. Last 4 0385 if that's how I get it into the Registry..

    Porous Oil Pan!

Apparently they have to move it considerably. All the cradles, mounts, etc have to be moved.

    Porous Oil Pan!

Apparently there has been a tech bulletin on this problem. Note that a LOT has to be removed to get it changed, way past the bottom of the engine: Cradles, suspension, damper pulley, etc. Manual lists the job at 19.5 hours!

    Porous Oil Pan!

It's being changed out now under warranty. That is one complex casting! Not surprising there might be a bad spot in all that area and small corners..

    Porous Oil Pan!

Minor leak under the engine is NOT main seal or pan gasket. Diagnosed as an overly-porous pan: Tech cleaned everything, pressure testing found NO leaks, but he could see the pan essentially sweating oil! So, is the pan on a 4BW plastic, steel or alloy? In any case it's a major job to replace.

    street alignment specs

Well, MrBF, I do trust them. And cut the cards. And have found even the most trustworthy shops and people don't have all the information all the time. Particularly if the BW specs are different than regular CTs

    Rear Main Seal leak

12,500 miles, tire shop noted "minor leak." No puddle on the ground, but concerning. Any others experience this early on the CT4BW?

Ct4 v Blackwing air filter install

Reviving this thread: Anyone report measurable differences with these filters? WONT TAP: any feedback? Some sources say the better airflow actually has the ECU reducing net output, but this doesn't smell right...

    2023 CT5 Blackwing engine failure

If you are a member of the VClub, post this tale of woe on their member-only page. Several Cadillac execs do monitor that site and have helped several of us with various things stuck in the mill....

    Personalized license plate

Long story why mine is JSMOSBY. Original car with it was gray. It might be a trivia question which Civil War history buffs or professionals would answer. Yankees and the period-ignorant may request enlightenment.

    Rear license plate

Assuming the same setup as my 2023 there are no retainers behind front or back plate locations. Since the rear panel is cheap junk fiber, I drilled the holes a bit larger and put in the square push-in retainers. No major expansion, but the screws wont loosen. Front is same, but the material is...

    any advantage to Green filters?

Anyone seen any advantage over stock for Green intake air filters on 4BW? other than permanence of the filters?
