    Enclosed Shipping Options

If you drive it home don't just set it on cruise control for long periods: That's for CT4, but I expect CT5 is similar.

    PPF Recommendations

Same here, except the door cups and glass. They did the outer wheel but I did the inner side myself to save a couple hundred bucks. It's done its job well so far and the line along the sides isn't noticeable.

    Magnetic drain plugs

The magnets hold themselves to the plug so removing them to remove the plug later is just removing the magnet. I have both those rare earth magnets and the .99 ceramic from Harbor freight, and the .99 ones are really stronger. Placing those two ceramic ones together pinched my finger... You can...

    Magnetic drain plugs

I'd suggest just buying a strong magnet and attach them to the outside of the plug. I tested a ceramic magnet I got from harbor freight on a large 1" bolt and it would pick up a large screw at the other end. They'll hold themselves on to the outside of the plug magnetically. You don't even need...

    retrofitting CT5 display in CT4

I'm not sure if this is the same plug, but it's in the radio section of the service manual. The wire colors seem to match.

    HUD without data recorder?

Same here. I had an order in without it thinking it was a waste for a car I wouldn't track. But I ended up getting a car in inventory instead that had pretty much all the options including PDR. I'm glad I have it now even though I don't use it much. I used it for the Cadillac parade laps at the...

    Break in 6MT fluid change

I only downloaded the specs for the 4BW because that's what I have. My guess is that it's the same for the 5. I paid for the 3-day subscription for ACDTDS and spent about a day and a half downloading as much as I thought I'd need for the future.

    Break in 6MT fluid change

I added the fastener specs and adhesives/sealers to the procedure posting.

    Break in 6MT fluid change

It could be to account for possible loss from the trans cooler lines when it drains that would fill when the system runs again.

    Break in 6MT fluid change

I'm curious: The capacities I posted in #15 indicate trans only is 3.66 qt, but Total Capacity with Transmission Cooler and Differential Oil Cooler is 5.03 qt. Does this imply the trans and differential are intermixed in the same cooling system? That doesn't seem right since they both use...

    Break in 6MT fluid change

This is the drain/fill procedure (I had to manually place the images and they became numbered, so the number sequence is correct but they are different by the number of images from the actual service document). The sealant for the drain and fill plugs called for is GM 19333512 Service...

Best mode for moderate to heavy rain?

These are some handwritten notes from Spring Mountain, additional details of PTM: Bottom line for the above is there is always some level of TC. I do think it can be turned off completely, but you have to take extra steps to do it. Otherwise, it's always there regardless of what it says...

Best mode for moderate to heavy rain?

No, it was a web presentation and I snapped pics of some of the PTM modes for future reference. These are the only others I took: I think there's another thread where the PTM stuff was discussed.

These are some slides from a Spring Mountain presentation regarding PTM wet & dry:

    CT4-V New windshield, new rattle

Mine also has HUD on it. Maybe someone who doesn't have HUD can post what theirs says. Seems silly to have two part numbers at the same price instead of having HUD capable for all installations. Maybe originally the HUD part cost 5 cents more and that justified a different part.

There are different part numbers with and without HUD:

Help! Are the carbon fiber side skirts on the 4BW the same size as the base plastic ones?

No and no. The CF ones are a different shape and extend out a little further at the back. My standard plastic one was cracked when I took delivery, but didn't notice it until the PPF guys pointed it out to me. I had to order a new one that comes in primer, have it painted and installed. I...

    CT4-V Blackwing Noise Cancellation System

I would guess it's primarily noise cancellation for the exhaust, and sound deadening handles most of the road noise. On our tour at Corsa, they mentioned how the ANC was tuned for the OEM exhaust and wouldn't be as effective with their aftermarket design and frequencies. You can see Lastgas...

    CT4VBW window size vs CT4

I can't imagine there are any differences in the window glass between them.
