New To Me '22 CT4-V BW 6MT in Central Mississippi

The previous owner was a car collector and had some trouble with comfort due to his height and the sunroof. Only 402 miles on the odometer. It arrived recently to replace my '19 Camaro ZLE 6MT. Great track car but not great for the roads around my home. I'm 5'11 so hopefully I should be okay...

CT4 V Blackwing Carbon Fiber Drive Shaft

Every car I've owned that added an Aluminum driveshaft felt a lot more responsive on the throttle than Steel. Carbon Fiber should be lighter and feel better than Aluminum.

    Apex Wheels for CT4-V Blackwing

I spoke with Corey last week and I think he's going to be a forum sponsor. I'll be the first to sign on to a group buy. Loved the ARC8's on my ZLE.

Anyone upgrade to red seat belts to replace your black oem ones i did 😆.

@loudmofo Thanks for posting the part number links to the red belts. They were the only option missing from my CT4 BW build that the original owner regretted. Do you have any tips for removal and install? I found a site that had everything for less than $175 shipped. Hopefully, parts should be...

    What did you trade?

I agree on several points, especially the engine and manual transmission. The PDK is a blast to drive and it would be fun on the track, but I still prefer three pedals. Here's the 2017 4S MSRP build sheet. It's crazy how quickly the prices have gone up post Covid. I paid less than MSRP. Option...

For the sake of resale value I hope this is a mistake

I can't remember the GM Executive, but I recall an interview early in the year where he was questioned about raising prices and he said to expect incentives to be reintroduced toward the end of the year if interest rates remained high.

For the sake of resale value I hope this is a mistake

Yep. I remember thinking Gen 6's for $74k was way too much and then a friend pointed me to the dealer in TX for ~$60k. I looked at comps with other models and brands. Drove the more expensive Corvette, GT350 R, Cayman GT4, Cayman S, and then spoke with a few owners. Everyone that had a Camaro...

For the sake of resale value I hope this is a mistake

@mfgmike Thank you for sharing. You did a lot better than me several years ago. Looks like things are finally getting somewhat back to normal for cars that have been sitting. I'm happy to see dealers feeling a bit of pain after convincing people to pay crazy ADM's. A little karma is nice. I...

    What did you trade?

I can't justify $100k+ for what it is. I do miss the sound and torque of the Camaro's LT4 but the CT5 BW doesn't have the upscale interior feel befitting the price. My Panamera 4S was $110k and it feels like it. I'll wait and pick up a used '22 when the prices with PDR, CF1, and High...

For the sake of resale value I hope this is a mistake

I'd say it's not special enough with the exception of the paint that is amazing. Tan seats...meh, no sunroof = good for me but many want one. Unfortunately, not many major options other than paint, seats, and climate. No HUD, PDR, CF1 or CF2, etc... I'm surprised it wasn't closer to MSRP, but...

Let's See A Special or Group Buy on Apex Wheels

As the title says, I'm excited to get my CT4-V Blackwing on the track and Apex makes some awesome wheels that would work out great. There are even more options for CT5-V BW owners so let's see some! Thank you!

For the sake of resale value I hope this is a mistake

People want what they can't have. The Camaro and CT4&5 BW's will level out and go back up after production stops. Look at what happened with the Chevy SS and similar cars, especially manuals, but that's the nature of cars that have something special or nostalgic.

For the sake of resale value I hope this is a mistake

Pre-Covid the Camaro's were not selling. GM did their annual 15-20% end of year discount to get the cars off the lots. It kills me how many people are paying ridiculous prices for vehicles. Dealer sales staff think the public are fools and the manufacturers are killing it with record profits...

For the sake of resale value I hope this is a mistake

A lot of the Cadillac dealers ordered configurations that didn't take into account the main appeal, a manual transmission sedan. They just went with what they thought the local market would want and didn't take into account the rareity of a manual. No surprises there... As far as trade-in...

    What did you trade?

I had a chance to get a Circuit at MSRP and passed. I put in a front facing no problem. Rear facing seat should be fine. There's more room back there than the CT4 and Acura ITS. I've haven't checked out the FL5 rear seat yet. My '17 FK8 had plenty.

    What did you trade?

I sold my 3400 mile '19 ZLE for a 405 mile '22 CT4-V BW. I'll post back after the break in.

CT5-V Feedback For 2024 CT5-V Blackwing HPDE Build

I decided to go with the carbon fiber seats and adjusted the order. Almost went CCB's but they seem to be finicky in cold climates. I asked about waiting for the '25 refresh and they were able to confirm a '25 CT5 but not the Blackwing. Just found out that GM accepted the '24 build and I'm...
