Pics of your Blackwing in regular parking spots

Looks great....one of the very best colors IMO (particularly with those bronze wheels!). Shame its back at the dealership....hope you get it resolved quickly and easily...

    CT4BW vs. BMW M2 (F87, 2016-2018)

I do indeed (still) own a 2004 BMW ZHP and of course a 2024 CT 3 V BW....both are fantastic (driving) cars and I love them both. The ZHP is plenty quick - though not fast per se (compared to "fast" cars of today) but boy is it still a hoot to drive. I just love revving it out....that inline 6...

    CT5-V CT5 BW Ported 2650 - 1010WHP

Back in the day (remember I'm old) there used to be a saying that went something like this - "whats the difference between a 1200hp Supra and a 700 hp Supra? Answer - .1 sec in the 1/4 mile" Issue of course was always traction...

New Member - NoVA Area CT5V BW

There's actually a few more of us. I met a 5 V BW owner (not on the forum) a few months back who attends Katie's C & C. I've never done so but will try to get my A up early enough one of these Sundays...

    Help! Whaddup y’all any tips?

I feel your pain. It took me forever to source my Alpines a little over a year ago. My guess is that it might be easier to find them this summer....but unsure of continuing availability. Not ideal. I agree that the Alpines or Sotozeros seem the best options performance wise. Good luck!

    Help! Whaddup y’all any tips?

Like you I really wanted the bronze wheels (on my CT 4 V BW)....but were not on the car I ended up purchasing new from a lot in Atlanta. I purchased some very nice Apex bronze wheels for my summer tires and used the OEM graphite wheels for my snows. I would advise you to try to source some...

Has anyone owned both 4vBW and 5vBW?

Got to say I really love those high revving V8s. The only modern Mustang I truly lust for is the S350 and there is something to be said for those Lexus V8s as well. That being said I'm also a believer in forced induction (though get what you say WRT killing the soul a bit.....still...). I've...

Has anyone owned both 4vBW and 5vBW?

agree...V8 would be awesome of course...but I'll take the feel/maneuverability with the turbo 6 over the V8...assuming its better in that regard (and I think it is). Tradeoffs...tradeoffs...nothing is ever perfect....but what a damn good car it is...

CT4-V Open exhaust valves without burbles/pops?

I don't mind the burbles in wide open and I think the engine/exhaust sound pretty good and have no real complaints. That being said the Corsa exhaust and those that Tapout has modded sound even better IMO....more aggressive befitting the sporty nature of the car. Do I need it - probably...

Has anyone owned both 4vBW and 5vBW?

I get it. Sure a V8 with all that goes with that would be great. But at the same time there were a variety of reasons they chose the TT V6 and they make sense. Not sure how much - if any - weight difference....but the 6 sits back of the front axle and this makes a tremendous handling...

Has anyone owned both 4vBW and 5vBW?

The few times we've taken our 4 BW out with adults in the back seat I've always apologized for the lack of room in the back and feel self conscious about it. In every case our passengers have said it was fine even after the drives...though on occasion they have requested we move our front seats...

    Brutal Winter Car

I kind of agree....though still a bit of an Audi fanboy. Unfortunately, no MT also means that they are kind of dead to me....at least for wanting to own and drive one. I do miss my quatro though....what can I say...

Does A Radar Detector Help Anymore?

I'm a huge fan. I still hold Zappa fests with videos and music every few years and have many friends into Frank (we grew up listening to Zappa in High School). I went to over 100 Zappa concerts back in the day and got backstage with Frank several times. He knew me by name and I visited the...

    Media dumps

Agree - they are just so practical and so much easier to load up as compared to a normal sedan. My sister drives some sort of BMW 4 series liftback and I so wish our CT4 was one....alas... My first car was a 1981 Toyota Starlet - a RWD MT hatch that was just a fantastic (and quick) little car...

    Media dumps

Yeah to bad American preferences toward SUVs took over during the last 20 years otherwise maybe Cadillac might have made a CT 4 (or ATS) wagon or hatch years ago...but that bird has flown unfortunately. And thats really too bad as I love wagons & hatchbacks and would have bought one vs a sedan...

Picked up my 2025 BW in Seattle today

Thanks for the response sponaugle....and wow....serious JDM style HP you've got there. Hard to imagine your dilemma deciding which to drive and having the time etc. But looks like great fun. Unlike you I'm not at all a mechanic....just a driver....and of more humble/limited means (what a garage...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Yeah I was afraid of that.....the Aero gauge must be the issue.

Picked up my 2025 BW in Seattle today

That looks to be a pretty interesting collection of cars you have there - atypical. I'd be interested in an itemization and some background if your up for it. And what prompted your interest in the Caddy? Congrats BTW - good choice...

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Thanks for all the encouragement and advice. I recently picked up and am using a battery tender on my GTI. I'm considering one for the Caddy but still hope its not necessary. I will use the transport mode next time I know I'll be leaving the car off for an extended period. Thanks ngoni. I'm...
