Dunno if it’s easier to see how much fender gap are there. Really the ultimate goal of the lowering springs is to lessen the rear gap. Fronts on stock springs aren’t that bad upfront.
Also found my old alignment specs. Definitely have no camber up front. Probably should have adjusted it...
I gotta find my sheet but definitely something that can be fixed with more camber. The upper perch hole on the car is slotted and thats how you adjust camber. When I did my springs, with the anticipation of the wheels, I pushed the upper as much as I could to get more distance between the top...
Havent seen anybody yet. Even on the V3s, its not very common to go twinskies due to the complication and lack of space. Easier to just slap a 2650 or whipple on it and make 1-1.2K with all the supporting mods.
Im pretty sure you can replace the rear cover for a clear one to see the engine.
But holy crap, you drive from Antelope Valley to Burbank area? I cant believe how much Santa Clarita has blown up last time I visited the area. I spent a few years in Lancaster growing up so somewhat still...
Its not just the pedals. Needing a usable rear space is also the other issue. I miss my C6Z every day but needed a more practical car to haul kids in on a pinch than just driving the family mover. Theres not much out there thats a manual with livable rear seats. If I didnt want a manual, I'd...
Same, few folks have said that fixed the swaying on theirs from the few FB groups. Basically similar issues from what the V3 guys experience. Seems to be not as bad since V3 guys ends up replacing every rear arms, not jus the toe arm to fix the load deflection issue.
And thats why Ive been...
Honestly, its not bad. End of the day, its still a full size sedan. Not a low to the ground sports car like a corvette. Maybe Im just so used to driving lowered cars that this thing doesnt even phase me.
Lets just say Ive had cars so low that I've scrapped freeway reflectors with my...
its not bad, Tapout springs arent that crazy higher than the stock spring rates. People just need to remember it takes a bit for them to settle. Ride will be rougher the first month or so, then they start feeling close to stock. Still firmer but I have my shock setting back to the middle...
Im lowered on Tapout Swift springs. Slight rubbing on the front fender on turns on the driver side fender for some reason. Just flattened the lip a little bit to clear.
Im running 20x10.5 +13, 20x12 +50 with 285/30R20 and 335/25R20 Continental Extreme Contact 2. Basically with the width, you can find Corvette Z06 spec tires that will fit (335 or 325s in the rear). You have options to go All Season or even Run Flats if you decide you dont want to worry about...
I atleast wait until the RPMs fully open up. If you pay attention on initial start up, the redline is lower when the engine is colder. Wait a few minutes and you should see it jump up atleast 2x to get to the 6500. Once its open to 6500, thats my cue to start driving. Take it easy until I...
Plus dont forget the cost. X-port, TB, underpulley, you're already at roughly $3.5K when said and done. Then you're looking at another $1800 for extra cooling (HX and tank) in trying to keep it cooler. Another $1K if you decide you want a fancy lid like me. :ROFLMAO:
Save the money, sell...
