Absolute Dearth of All-Season Tires for CT5-V Blackwing

While I put winter tires on my Blackwing (as I have lectured all of you rather tirelessly, sorry), I should add that I do it mainly so I can drive it safely on cold, dry winter days, which are the norm in Toronto most days, most winters. For example, last night when I had to pick a car to drive...

Absolute Dearth of All-Season Tires for CT5-V Blackwing

If you go easy on the throttle the kind of car you are driving is irrelevant to the traction of the tire. Completely, totally, utterly irrelevant. Sounds like the Pirelli’s just weren’t very good winter tires. In fact I think that’s what you’re saying. Possibly, but less likely, your Camaro also...

Absolute Dearth of All-Season Tires for CT5-V Blackwing

Respectfully, that may be somewhat true when it comes to all seasons, but it is completely and utterly incorrect in respect of winter tires. Those conditions are precisely what winter tires are designed for, and the reason people buy them for their cars, whether they drive Tercels or 911s.

Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

You didn’t sign one of these? This was for my 24. I signed something similar when I bought the 22.

Absolute Dearth of All-Season Tires for CT5-V Blackwing

My thoughts exactly. I’m on my second season running winter tires on the stock rims but the rant makes me reluctant to help. Frankly, also, running all seasons in the winters doesn’t make sense anyway. All weather, sure, if you can find ‘em (you can’t), but if you want to drive safely in cold...

Order bank open date 2025 CT5V BW?

I think the adjustment is partly to align the price a little more closely with the exchange rate. My guess is that even with the increase, a new Blackwing still costs significantly less here than in the US after converting our Canadian dollar prices to US dollars. Hence they will probably...

It had one on the dash. The 25 manual has no knob at all, is the point. Which is shite for $100k sports sedan, frankly.

Looks like Santa’s getting you something extra special: a CT4.5 BW

    2025 CT5 & CT5-V Blackwing Order Support Guide

So $6,000 CDN more for an identically optioned car not including luxury and sales tax. Interestingly, it looks like the options are all the same price as before and that only the base price went up.

    Track rats rejoice!

I’m not seeing 2025 Blackwings on the Cadillac.ca site yet. Maybe I’m linking with a cached version? Please send the link you’re using as I’m curious to see how much more my car would have cost as a ‘25.

    Spring Mountain Impressions

Alternatively, you can call them and find out when they expect to release new dates, which is something they do from time to time, and how I booked my upcoming visit in March. What you do is give them your email address, after which they will eventually give you advance notice of the morning...

    CT4 BW to Dark Horse?

… which is another thing I forgot to mention when I compared the S550 Mustang I traded in for my Blackwing. Oh, and here’s yet another (kind of): adaptive cruise control was available for manual S550 Mustangs, and I believe you can get it on the new S650s, as well. I say kind of because for some...

    2025 M5 vs. 2025 CT5-V BW

Had one of them, an auto. Would have kept it if it were a manual. Great utility, great performance, but overall not as great a car as my Blackwing.

Canada here, and instead of telling all you Yanks that you’re all crazy, left right, and centre (yes, that’s how you’re supposed to spell it) pissing on each other about shit that every other wealthy, civilized country on this planet settled 50 years ago or more, I’ll post a picture of the...

    Media dumps

I did the same thing when the opportunity to do so arose. Base black to radiant red, base interior to carbon-backed tan, and sun roof to slick top were the main changes. Considered waiting for the ‘25 because the interior design of the pre-refresh dash and infotainment screen is, somehow...
