It happens. I night a brand new GT350 and at 6K miles needed a new engine due to oil consumption. At the end it was burning a quart every 200 miles. Ford made me do two 500 drive tests. But I got a new long block and it never really burned any oil.

Yes, the 350 and 370Z had gas starvation issues too, as the fuel pump pickup is on the side of the tank. Al low gas levels, in a turn the gas sloshes to one side and boom, no gas. People and vendors came up with fixes for it though.

I had a 2009 Nismo Z. Great chassis, but boring engine. Had I kept it, would have gone Fast Intentions twin turbo kit.
