No need to worry - they do a really good job of sorting people together based on their pace. I was one of the slowpokes, but I got dropped into a slower group - and going at a similar pace to the rest of my group gave me a bit more time and confidence to work on my technique and actually get...
I don't think the winder will 'hurt' (or overwind) a modern automatic but I gave up on mine because I learned that I enjoy manually setting and winding most of them. Annual and triple (or heaven forbid perpetual) calendars would probably benefit most being put on a winder.
That looks great! Some of the Rolex releases were certainly... surprising... but I'm still left waiting for New Coke or a Titanium Sub.
Personally the one that's got me thinking about getting out my credit card is an acquired taste, but I'm a sucker for a California dial🤤...
Don't mean to hijack, but I'll be going to Spring Mountain on 3rd & 4th of April...
I was planning on driving from Paso Robles direct to Spring Mountain on Sunday (https://goo.gl/maps/kjLj6DHuFvfg1t8n9)
Anyone else from SoCal area planning on driving out for this event? How are the temps and...
I think folks are reaching for this consciously or subconsciously because it would be comforting if it were simply all down to one builder 'screwing up' ... because then all you'd have to do is look at the plate on your engine to know whether or not your engine is likely to grenade. Problems...
I always thought the 997 and 996 gang would be 'good eggs'. I'll just say the 991 forum isn't quite like that, and this one (cadillacvnet) has been a breath of fresh air!
Porsche sales and service is another level but you're gonna miss the V8 and the manual! PDK is a fun gearbox for a few months but then... blah...
That being said, Porsche is exactly like Rolex. After you've taken delivery of your loaded Macan and Panamera GTS, you're going to be qualified to...
You aren't missing a whole lot not being on Rennlist. I'm in the 991 generation forum and it doesn't matter how the thread starts it always ends with people tearing lumps out of each other's cars depending on whether it's NA (.1) or Turbo (.2) :ROFLMAO:
Is it a manual car?
I'd be curious to know, I assume BW's have the same kind of data logging that Porsche does in their DME to check for overrevs and more specifically, 'money shifts'. So long as you didn't do that, and didn't modify anything related to the engine, I would have to assume you're...
I ordered mine before ever seeing one, but was still offered (and took) a test drive before signing the papers. It helps that I loved my 2012 V-Wagon. About 2 minutes in I felt right at home, and I knew I'd made the right decision!
Super helpful, thanks!
I'm nearly certain that if I give this to a dealer they'll still romp on the car round the block and then just give it back to me with 'cannot reproduce', but it's the first concrete bit of info I've seen :)
Check out this thread as well: CT5-V - engine surge / "porpoising"
The root cause seemed to be inconclusive. I only get this behavior when driving on one specific moderately bumpy mild downhill road in 2nd gear around the same 2000RPM rev range. This is normally on the way home from a spirited...
Definitely true for me - I was one of the guys that ordered a manual CTS-V wagon back in the day, loved it, and deeply regretted selling it.
Some anecdotal proof that the 'halo' effect works: My wife's friend and her husband came to visit a couple of months ago and got a quick ride in the...
Yup - Panerai has been kinda up and down on that. I was in Florence on vacation a few years back so it felt remiss not to pick one up in the original Firenze San Giovanni boutique. I got a PAM658 and the movement's decently impressive - true GMT with a micro rotor, two spring barrels etc
I let my OnStar app lapse and I still get the monthly email with diagnostics...
It does seem like a bit of a rip-off, if it was $5-$10/mo it would be a no-brainer!
Side question: has anyone ever got OnStar crash service to activate on track?
I've always wondered whether track braking...
Absolutely respect that point of view, but from a converse point of view, you don't have to worry about flipping your watch upside down in a ditch when you're having a bit too much fun with it, or having it destroyed by an inattentive person futzing on their phone while on your commute. :LOL...
