    DSX Lid Whine Results

Here’s a video showing the installation of an Elite catch can on a 6th Gen Camaro ZL1. It should give everyone a good idea of what’s involved and why this modification could pose a risk to your powertrain warranty. One important thing to keep in mind is that the bolts securing the supercharger...

    DSX Lid Whine Results

Aftermarket. Installing a catch on the LT4 can poses a potential risk to the powertrain warranty, as it requires a notable alteration to the PCV (positive crankcase ventilation) system. For high-horsepower builds, the addition of a catch can is justified due to its ability to reduce crankcase...

Post a Photo of your BW Modified with CHATGPT

I had a little fun with ChatGPT this morning. I uploaded a photo of my BW and asked it to create a “sophisticated” background. The front emblem colors are a little off, but the rest of the photo turned out pretty cool.

Ct5-V Blackwing precision pkg rear aluminum toe links

It’s crazy that the toe links don’t come installed from the factory on a car with the Precision Package. And it’s even crazier that the dealer charged you to install them. That’s like saying the Precision Package comes with Cup 2 tires, but you have to pay separately for installation and...

Am I crazy? Honest feedback wanted

I bought my '23 5BW M6 used in May 2024. It had 9700 miles on it when I bought it and I've added another 3000 miles in the 13 months I've owned it. So yes, Finally-a-v is correct, most Blackwings are not daily driven. They're typically weekend play toys.

Am I crazy? Honest feedback wanted

OP, your location states Ohio. The 5BW as a daily driver will depend on what part of the state you live in. If it’s northeast Ohio, which receives a lot of lake-effect snow during the winter, I would shy away from the BW as a daily driver. Deep snow plus a 670 HP rear-wheel-drive car is not a...

    Am I crazy?

You describe my exact feelings every time I drive my 5BW. I’ve never had a car put a bigger smile on my face. Yes, it’s a big car. Yes, the gearing is tall, so you don’t shift as often — but man, is it a blast to drive. Maybe I can’t use the full power on the street without legal implications...

CT5-V PCV/EVAP uncapped? Doesn't look critical, but does this remain uncapped or should I cap it?

As shbox said, That's the cap over the intercooler bleeder port. There's a Schrader valve in the inside so no coolant can leak unless the valve is pushed down. You were right to put the cap back on to keep dirt and debris out.

    Am I crazy?

Wow! I must be living in an alternate universe. I have more fun driving my 5BW than any car I've ever owned. I love the tall gears. I also have a C8 Stingray hard top convertible. Yes, this car corners better than my BW but it is no comparison when it comes to driving pleasure. My BW wins...

    5th gen V?

Last week, when I took my BW in to have the battery tested, the dealer brought me home and picked me up in a LYRIQ. I have to say, it was a very comfortable ride with a quiet interior, but there was nothing about the car to get excited about. Even the driver admitted he would rather drive my BW...

    Marker Light Removal

You wouldn’t think a subtle change to the color of a side marker would make a big difference in the overall appearance—but it does.

    5th gen V?

Until the infrastructure is in place to make EV charging convenient, I don't see the EV market being anything but niche. Yes, home charging can be convenient, but what about all the apartment complexes and multifamily dwellings? I've have yet to see one apartment complex with more than one...

anyone have a Z06 and BW? or trade to a Z06?

I'm sure Chevy thinks the Corvette is in the same league as the Porsche and therefore thinks it can sell Corvettes with the same sales tactics that Porsche uses.

CT5-V Catalytic Converter and Brake work

If they reduce the brake dust by 50%, it will be well worth the switch.

CT5-V Catalytic Converter and Brake work

I just received front and back Carbotech 1521 low-dust brake pads. The pads come with the slot for the wear sensors. I have them going on June 4th. I'll let you know how that goes. So far I've been very impressed with the company. I ordered the pads off the Carbotech website. Got a call...

anyone have a Z06 and BW? or trade to a Z06?

I'm on my second car with the LT4. The low-end torque out of this engine is addicting as hell!

6MT folks- Anyone experience this after spirited driving?

No. There was no chatter when the transmission was cool. I experienced it the most on my ZL1 when the outside temps got above 90 degrees and I had driven the car for a while.

anyone have a Z06 and BW? or trade to a Z06?

If I’m paying $150K for a car, I damn well better get some creature comforts like memory seats, heated and ventilated seats, blind spot sensors, a front camera, etc. This whole 1, 2, and 3 interior trim setup drives me crazy about the Corvette. The Camaro ZL1 and Cadillac Blackwings somehow...

6MT folks- Anyone experience this after spirited driving?

Having owned two cars with Tremec 6060 transmissions, I’ve noticed that when the transmission gets hot—such as from spirited driving—it tends to exhibit some clutch chatter when taking off from a stop. I haven’t noticed it as much on my BW as I did on my 2017 Camaro ZL1. But in all fairness, the...
