I also have a remote second home and on occasion I let people in when I’m not there. I’ve had a blanket stolen, dishwasher detergent tabs stolen and a pile of loose change stolen by a plumbing company that had to rotor out my main drain pipe. I don’t have cameras yet but the plumbing company...
The tech should be fired. He's probably done this before and damaged other cars. I'd show the manager and the owner the footage of it. Some people need to be taught lessons, even ifs it costs him his job.
Given that when you press down the noise goes away, I'm not sure why they think it's a throwout bearing, as I don't see how pressing on the shifter can in any way, affect the throwout bearing. They are not connected in any way.

So the issue was I had to go to the app to turn WiFi back on to get CarPlay to work. The software update must have turned it off. Typical ahole software engineering.
So go for a drive for dinner and CarPlay not working. I removed the device from the car Bluetooth, rebooted the phone and the cars info system, then did a pairing again…on my phone it says connected to myCadillac as it should but the car play button is greyed out and when I press it, it says not...
