Best mode for moderate to heavy rain?

Forget PTM, drop down to Drive Mode for Snow/Ice. We had torrential rain during my Spring Mountain experience and it worked great to keep the car going straight

    First time V-car owner

Meatball is a reference to one of the parts of the optical landing system that they use on ships, kinda like the red and green threshold lights on a real runway

    The German Tank Problem

i thought it was about 1500 of each 4 and 5 per year. Not sure why this would be important to me

    Spring Mountain Impressions

guy was out there when I was doing day 2 in the rain, he was all hunkered down in his foul weather gear and shooting shot after shot and laughing at the faces we made at him when going by

CT4-V Disappointed after lengthy Test drive

I like my car, but agree on the engine. It's not necessarily underwhelming, but I expected more. I came from a slower car, but i'm never blown away. I'm waiting for my next track day to do some experimentation with different modes. Oh, and i've got an automatic, so that's part of the issue...

    Spring Mountain Impressions

There are a lot of YouTube videos of people at Spring Mountain, you can check some of those too. When you're in the car and following an instructor, they're talking to you and giving you guidance. Listen and follow and watch tail lights, etc. You'll be great.

    Settings for track days

thanks. I'll double check next drive. really annoying coming up to someone in the braking zone and the car freaks out

    Settings for track days

Something I hadn't thought about last time I was at the track. What settings do you disable for HPDE days on track with ptr set to either sport or track 1, Is there a config that will disable the lane keeping and collision avoidance, or do you disable those yourselves before the track day?

Check engine light at 900 miles

Might be just an issue of having a lot of work and insufficient staff. I don't know about Southern California, but up in Central California there is a definite shortage of auto techs. Combine that with difficulty in moving from brand to brand due to having to learn all of the ins and outs of...

    Track rats rejoice!

Apparently that depends on Cadillac. From what I heard there, Cadillac owns the cars, which is why there aren't a ton like the Corvette school

    Track rats rejoice!

Not a problem, the implication of my statement is that these will sell well. My presumption is that anything sold as "track focused" will be bought by the back road hooligan crowd whether they need it or not

    Track rats rejoice!

I can see these being bought just because "If it's better for the track, i can scream on the twisties" and 90% of them never being tracked

    Motorcycles

I did all the crazy high speed stuff back in my early 20s. I've got the damaged back and neck to prove it. That's why I have to ride such an upright bike like my Tiger 800

    Motorcycles

Scouts are fun bikes. I've got a Tiger 800 from 2012. Great bike til I bounced off a toyota corolla because I "came out of nowhere". Helps to avoid motorcycles if you watch what is coming up before you pull into the road

    Spring Mountain Track Times

Car: CT4 Auto Track: North Best Lap: 1:38 day 1 (poured day 2) Autocross: 34 something, also in the rain I was in the slow group, so was top of the Auto-x and about middle overall It was fun, got stomach issues on day 2 but squeezed cheeks and drove on. Track was kinda disappointing because...

    Taking pictures of your car

Posts #7 and 16 look good. #7 shot #2 has the car framed with a disappearing set of lines. Looks great, draws the eye to the car. #16 shot #1 has a great angle, but maybe over expose it a little and play with something like lightroom to bring out some highlights, or get the sun over your...

Picking up a CT5 BW - What should the dealer be providing with the car?

Granted I got a 4BW, but my dealer threw in a $7k discount. I would still have liked a T-Shirt or a nice mug, but for the 7k I saved, no problem
