    TPMS sensor part #?

According to this post, the car needs to be put into learning mode. I have no idea how to do that on a 2025. 2022-24 cars are straight forward as there is a menu option. I could not find a TPMS learning mode item anywhere in the 2025 infotainment system...

    Auto vs. Manual

I was just reminded of this video that discusses all of the modern tech that goes into a manual transmission. We think of them as “old tech” but they are quite modern. I completely forgot our cars have ‘no lift shift’.

    2025 PDR

Thank you. Confirmed that the 13.1 beta allows me to see the data. Next step is to figure out how to visualize it in the toolbox.

    Auto vs. Manual

Same here. Easily would have been my top choice if available. Midnight Steel reminded me of Barents Blue on one of our Volvos. Fantastic color.

New Guy. How can I tell the best dealer to go to for service for a new 2026 CT5-V Blackwing?

Congrats! The car is well worth the long drive to bring it home.

    Auto vs. Manual

E39 M5. Nice. One of my all-time favorite cars.

Did you do or are doing V academy

I learned after failing the first time that 3min is not quick enough. At least for 5BW MT. It needs to be 1min, maybe 2. I am booked for JAN 5-6

Lowering Springs for Precision Package CT5-V Blackwing

Suspension changes are a slippery slope. Lower the car and you affect the alignment and need shorted swaybar end links. Stiffen the springs and you might go outside the range the shock is meant to work with. You may also need to play with swaybars to keep the car so it maintains neutral handing...

    New CT5-V Blackwing owner

Congrats! I traded a GT350 for my 5BW. The Shelby cars are great but the Blackwings are a better all around car. Enjoy the ride!

    CT5-BW Brake Wear

A decent mechanic will measure the brake pad thickness and tell you exactly how much is left and not just say “they look worn”. Also, there are wear sensors. So unless that warning has triggered then they are not in need of replacement (if all you do is street driving).

    Dealer recommendations Chicago suburbs

Dustin did step away for a while about a year ago but he came back a few months later. Unless he has stepped away a second time within the past couple of months, he is still the Blackwing King. I picked up a car from him 2 months ago.

If you do only occasional tracking and don’t run race tires then the DS2500 are the right pad for you. I cannot speak to the brake dust compared to stock CT4 pads as I have a CT5 with the carbon ceramic rotors. But on my GT350 the brake dust seemed similar to other pads.

Slow leak, guidance on how to proceed

As long as the hole is not close to the sidewalk then any tire shop can fix it. Recommend patch and plug for best results. Note you are not supposed to track on a patched tire.

I am a huge Ferodo fan. Not just of the DS2500 but also the DS1.11 and the DSUNO. Those are the 2 other compounds I have tried on the GT350. If you want to go a bit more aggressive on the compound, the DS1.11 are great. Better wear on the track and way less brake dust. No free lunches though...

New Guy. How can I tell the best dealer to go to for service for a new 2026 CT5-V Blackwing?

I think you might be right in the 22-24 CT5 having better tech if you plan on keeping the car long term. I wanted the Precision Package and the upgraded PDR so I am okay with that trade off and having a 2025+.

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

Yep she used a Cricut. Happy to share the vector file she created. DM with your email as I am not allowed to attach an SVG file directly here. Note the weeding of the vinyl is very tedious as the numbers are very small and the 4, 6 and R have little center bits to remove. The bigger you can...

big thumbs up for the Ferodo DS2500. The GT350 has those as stock pads. Fantastic dual use pads good street manners and holds up very well on track even on a heavy car. Brake dust is same as other similar pads.

New Guy. How can I tell the best dealer to go to for service for a new 2026 CT5-V Blackwing?

There is an “offline mode” but it has to do with the GPS being “offline” as I discovered recently. For the 2025+ models the GPS is tied to OnStar subscription. I found out when my Google Maps could not find me and the icon in the gauge cluster that shows the road’s speed limit just showed —. So...

    2026 allocation

Order number is after they enter the configuration in the system. It does not indicate the dealer has an allocation

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

I asked my wife to make a couple of stickers for me. I wanted a “save the manuals” type sticker. But I wanted something more BW specific. So I asked her to make a sticker based on the medallion on the shifter. Fits nicely on the plastic panel on the C-pillar.
