    Tall Steve's Blackwings

Did you rob an off-road light store, Steve? :D :D :D Seriously though, do the lights behind the grille impact airflow to that Turbomax engine?

CT4-V Some thoughts after test driving an auto 4-v blackwing, and asking for some advice regarding manual vs auto

My six-speed manual '24 Acura Integra Type S has adaptive cruise control and it works pretty good. Am also surprised my 5BW six-speed doesn't. That said, I hardly use cruise control when flogging the BW, so not that big of a deal. :D So, how the adaptive cruise works on the Acura is when...

CT4-V Some thoughts after test driving an auto 4-v blackwing, and asking for some advice regarding manual vs auto

Both the A10 and 6MT 4BW are great cars. Don't forget only the manual 4BW gets titanium connecting rods (FWIW). Either way, you can't go wrong with whatever works best for you. I have a 5BW six-speed and I've never wanted for the A10 personally. One of the main reasons to get the Blackwings...

CT4-V blackwing vs cayman gts 4.0 vs z06

The 992 GT3 is a game changer over the Cayman/Boxster platform though due to the double wishbone front suspension. Once you figure out how to drive a 911 with the rear-weight bias, it is exceptionally capable. Not taking anything away from the mid-engine Boxster/Cayman as it's a top-notch...

CT4-V blackwing vs cayman gts 4.0 vs z06

There's a lot of 'information' here that is all over the place. I'll provide my two cents below: 1. Get the PDK, it's a better fit for the engine. Porsche manuals aren't that great overall and the powerband/engine likes the 7-speed PDK. I'm all about manuals (I own 3 of them currently), but...

    2025 Fat A** BMW M5

Still waiting for BMW to say it was a misprint as the quoted 5,400lbs is gross weight, not curb weight or something. But, nothing yet. I just don't see how BMW added 1,000lbs by hybridizing the F90 M5, but apparently they did. Just wow. Also, BMW has done well recently with making track...

    2025 Fat A** BMW M5

Oh, the E39 M5 was my dream car back in college and just out of college. The E60 was cool too with that V10. F10 was okay, but a little too isolated feeling. After that, never really been that interested. The last gen M5 CS was quite a performer, so I would have considered that one if the BW...

CT5-V 143 mph CT5 BW goes to the pokey while running from Smokey…

Always make sure to bring lots of cash to MX. That's how you pay any speeding tickets. :)

CT5-V 143 mph CT5 BW goes to the pokey while running from Smokey…

I've seen 177mph in my 5BW six-speed and it was a non-event. Closed course, Mexico, etc. Though, once the shift to sixth gear happens around 160ish, acceleration rate drops off quite a bit. :D

Dealer loyalty not what it used to be.

Yeah, they should have at least reached out to you first. If for no other reason than getting a highly valuable trade-in. Oh well, at least you got a car and don't need to mess with Earnhardt anymore.

    CT5-V First time post

Congrats on your beast. Quick question, how the HECK do you hook up? I have a hard enough time hooking with stock power on the stock tires with my '22 5 six-speed. Are you running R888R tires or something that to get the power down?

Dealer loyalty not what it used to be.

Yeah, if you didn't leave a deposit, they can't exactly be obligated to hold the car for you especially with another buyer standing right in front of them, loyalty aside. Regardless, I'm glad you found a car and are happy!

Hoo boy- 90 mile Auto CT5 BW 74k reserve not met

I have '22 5BW car #26 with the six-speed in Shadow. I've been tempted a few times to get a 10A "beater" 5BW for daily driving duties as I want to keep my six-speed forever so don't want to pile crazy miles on it. At mid 70's potentially, I may have to consider it a bit more if the market...

    CT5-V Time To Part Ways

If you're not afraid to use the rev range, the LT6 is great on the street and the track. It won't have the low rpm hit, but it's every bit as fast as the 5BW if you rev it out. Launches are way better in the C8 too with available traction. I love the LT4 in my 5BW and it's definitely the...
