Blackwing Order Tracking - 2023 Model Year

Maybe. All I know is: I'll know when it starts moving. And someone might be helping that along. Maybe.

Blackwing Order Tracking - 2023 Model Year

We shall see. Were I a betting man, I'd bet closer to a week or two. Maybe less. ;-)

CT5-V Finally: CT5-V Blackwing Reproduction Spoilers

Hrm. I think you're going to win the race then. My 5BW hasn't even been built. Maybe I'll move the goalposts of the bet. Yeah, that's it! The front splitter! No way you'll have that ready before my car's here. :)

Blackwing Order Tracking - 2023 Model Year

Hey @Rob I assume you'll catch this on your next order scan, but it looks like my TPW has been kicked a week to 04/03. At least that's what my dealer sees on autopartners.

CT5-V Finally: CT5-V Blackwing Reproduction Spoilers

Current TPW: 04/03/2023. But that's already slid by one week. And lord only knows how long it'll be, once built, before I get it. You've got some time. ;-)

I'm still wondering which is going to get here first: my 5BW or your spoiler? ;-)

    CT5-V Engine failure

I've done the LT4 engine build experience back when it was still a thing; this for my '17 Z06. The engine builder is a very active participant in the building process. The things done by computer: Torquing various bolts down Checking and recording said torques Applying gaskets One other thing...

    Engine power before 500 miles

To be clear, that's only in first and second gears, and it's by 25-30% reduction in torque output. The reason GM did that was because of the enhanced traction the mid-engine design of the car gives the rear end of the car. That extra traction puts an increased load on the transaxle, which is...

CT5-V Finally: CT5-V Blackwing Reproduction Spoilers

Do we have to order one online if we've already given you an EBay deposit? I assume not?

Engine Break In - 500 mi or 1500 mi

All generalizations are false, but generally the folks piloting the autobahns are of a significantly higher caliber of driver than those of us here in the states. That includes the folks going slower. They get the whole lane discipline thing much better as well as reading road conditions...

    CT4/5 Recall Daytime Running Lights

Ah, good. Dazzling oncoming drivers because you don't want to get the OTA. Well done, sir. (Don't be a dick).

Blackwing Order Tracking - 2023 Model Year

I don't know if this is still doable, but previously, once the VIN was known, you could have your sales drone activate the car's OnStar remotely for you. Then you could log into OnStar's mobile app and track it real time.

    PDR Audio

Yep, that's the kind of thing you need. That wasn't using the Z06's PDR because I wasn't keen on the 720p recording. Rather two GoPros, and a separate digital audio recorder. Start everything recording, clap my hands loudly to provide a sync marker, and go have fun on the track. Sync...

    PDR Audio

OK. You're hearing clipping. Basically the audio is too loud for the camera's audio processor and it can't handle it. There's way too much road noise, wind noise, and sweet, glorious exhaust noise. All combined, it blows out the audio processing of the camera, and that's pretty much that...
