    Get PPF today!!

Yep, it's worth it if you value your paint. Mine took a hit just above the diveplane by what seems to have been a sharp metal piece. There was a small paint chip but the damage would've been worse without the PPF.

2023 CT4-V Blackwing no serial number on steering wheel

Yes. The VIN-stamped wheel comes with upgraded interior or as a standalone option.

2023 CT4-V Blackwing no serial number on steering wheel

No, because the VIN-stamped wheel also has auto heating function. The wheel you got is the base 4BW wheel.

2023 CT4-V Blackwing no serial number on steering wheel

Yes, the high performance wheel (w/ VIN plate) is standard equipment on 5BW. It's the same option code as the 4BW.

2023 CT4-V Blackwing no serial number on steering wheel

Your car wasn't optioned with the VIN stamped wheel. The INC item is the base wheel, the extra item you see is for the feature that automatically turns on the heating function when the car is remote started.

2023 CT4-V Blackwing no serial number on steering wheel

You had to option the high performance wheel to get the VIN plate. It's order code BTH. It would show on the window sticker as STEERING WHEEL, HIGH-PERFORMANCE. 90% of the cars in the Registry were optioned with it, so that might be leading to some of the confusion.

    Front "winglets?"

They are part of the Carbon Fiber 1 package. Besides the parts themselves, the front bumper is also different to support them. More info can be found at Carbon fiber PN database..

    Official Cyber Yellow Thread

Could be better than looking in the rear view mirror and thinking you're in a police chase because of the red and blue OnStar lights in the mirror frame. 😱

    Recall code on 4BW 180259??

It's for the engine wire harness issue that's been mentioned elsewhere here. https://gmauthority.com/blog/2023/09/gm-releases-fix-for-cadillac-ct4-wire-harness-contact-issue/

    Spring Mountain Impressions

I know iRacing's not quite the same thing :), but I don't really have much difference between h-pattern and paddle shifting. Shifting with either one just becomes part of the rhythm of running the track. In Track mode, the transmission should hold lower gears.

    The Blackwing Spotting Thread

I caught an Electric Blue 4BW leaving the Midway Market on Rt. 36 around 11 AM today.

    What did you trade?

My 4BW replaced a '11 V6 Altima Sedan. Obviously a major upgrade and not really any regrets. The motivation for replacing it was some thing or things about itwere triggering my motion sickness symptoms and I, after a couple years of trying, could not work through it. Originally I was going to...

PDR and Surround Vision Camera Recording

Windows default file system for bulk storage is NTFS, it wouldn't offer to format large drives as FAT32 in order to force people to NTFS. exFAT is the go-to default for SD cards but requires (required?) paying licensing fees.

PDR and Surround Vision Camera Recording

FAT32 max volume size is 2 TB. What might be causing problems on the 256 GB cards is the sector and cluster size the formatting tool is picking.

    Warning: DCMotors Anaheim

I don't think that is a 100% rule. For example, GM owned the C7 ZR-1s.

    Warning: DCMotors Anaheim

Typically the school cars that go through DC Motors have manufacturer warranty except for the powertrain. Anyone buying a used C7, C8 or Blackwing should have the VIN checked for warranty status regardless of where's its listed because you don't know where those cars will appear down the road.

Pics of your Blackwing in regular parking spots

I don't know if the PPF or PTM would be more angry about that!

CT4V BW PPF - who has done it, and what panels

I have full front, mirrors and lower door/rear quarter panels PPFd. It's done it's job. Beware that the front splash guards/etc. won't fit if you have the CF side skirts as they interfere with mounting points.
