Hope for the best with them but that looks like a sure recipe for disaster. What do you have for clearance at rest? Looks like tire to fender contact is imminent. One good dip and paint/wrap will melt away.
Well finally got my retrofit done along with first service. Yes dash where I normally have my fuel mileage info on right side shows that same basic screen in previous post upon start-up. I haven't really digged further as the dealer had me for 3.5 hours. I just wanted to get the hell out of...
Everything I've read regarding brake cooling ducts is really related to Ceramic brake rotors that are extremely susceptible to shattering. Why would you want basically a big funnel aiming road debris at or into your rotor for a DD. Iron rotors would probably shake that off.
So next members that head out to Spring Mountain please bring this question up to crew there. I'm sure with the amount and frequency of tire changes done there that they would give some finality to this subject.
I look forward to hearing what they have to say.
I'm scheduled for my first service next week. Dealer is checking availability of retrofit, was supposed to call me back today to confirm, hmm. Was also trying to find labor time allowed as to be able to wait or needed to drop off.
Don't follow your not following. There are untold amount of various pinchweld adapters out there. I have 4 or 5 different sets in my garage, some specific (last several gen of Corvette) some universal, some rubber/composite, some aluminum.

Truer words were never spoken. I never got an allocation. Did the nationwide search for months, must have spoken to 30+ dealers prior to finding my car, still trying to stop emails and texts from dealerships that put me on their lists. Was disheartening and was starting to think it wasn't going...
Pic 7105 is the money shot insofar as the bearing shows uneven wear through layers of babbitt material. That's the stuff of nightmares. Great to hear your back on the road. Good luck with it.
All the more reason to take it opon yourself to address it before some careless underpaid overworked "tech" pancakes it or buckles a floorpan. I don't have stealth pads but set I mounted gives me piece of mind that it won't be me. Trimming that little piece of plastic for clearance seemed the...
You make your choices and live with them. To think that a pinchweld that brings together multiple panels either bonded or welded together isn't strong enough with proper adapter as opposed to a stamping with no reinforcement and used to track chassis along an assembly line. Good luck with that...
