So went into the Cadillac app on my phone today and saw this. Obviously tires are properly inflated on the car and dash shows 36 psi like the app. App brain fart? Anyone else?
I have found that updates often fail when I am parked in the garage even with excellent WiFi connection. But leaving the car outside in the driveway for the update has never failed. Seems that some form of connectivity to GM cell/satellite network is required where weak or no signal will cause...
Not sure that's GM's fault. Pretty sure they only build cars that the dealers order. Though @Rob might have insight on the any "incentives" that GM might have which puts pressure or even requirements on dealers to order these cars?
If you have kids, especially, pre-teens, I would definitely get PPF on them. My kids are now old enough and driving their own cars, though they are enthusiasts like me and are careful on the occasions when they do sit in the backseat of my BW.
Just looked and my car has those spots as well. Never noticed before. Mine has been on dealer lift twice and they are perfectly straight. No bends like in @Neveready shows in his photo.
Ah, those look much better in these photos and absent of the plastic coating. Still odd that none of the online parts sites recognize that part number. Did you also get CT5 and other V-badges through GM as well?
I searched multiple GM part sites and that part number came back with no results. Maybe it's a "special" part from that dealer. Especially if it's just a plastic cover. Very odd.
Not sure how about that spray job. You can barely read the Blackwing now. The letters on the plain one are pretty deep. Looks like the paint just pooled up in the lettering there.
Most likely that your car was on lower rack of transport truck and chains hanging down from upper rack were swinging scaping against the paint. Hence the curved pattern. A couple of similar situations posted last year that were attributed to that.
Anyone do the lamin-x tints on their taillights and if so, how did they come out?
Their lamin-x website has the following warning for the CT5 taillights
***ATTENTION, DUE TO THE EXTREME CURVATURE ON THE LENS, THIS PRECUT DOES NOT FULLY COVER THE TAIL LIGHT. PLEASE SEE OUR UNIVERSAL SHEETS...
I had the same thing when I went for a drive yesterday. The tiles only work with some of apps including Google Maps, but not yet for Waze. FWIW, I really like the new tiled screen.
Hopefully this gets resolved before the next class otherwise EV might be the way to go
