    Cadillac F1 entry

F1 is doubtlessly motorsports at the highest level. I just think an IMSA race at 1/10 the price would be just as much fun to watch. COTA totally sabotages their minor events. GT World Challenge is racing here next month, and they're shutting down all the good seating and limiting access to...

    Tall Steve's Blackwings

I just re-capped posts from the end of last year. Does your garage have HVAC ? Also curious if you drove a Lyriq. They're one of the most attractive crossovers available, and once you're up to 30 or 40 mph, its very quick. The V will only have 100 more HP, which is only 20% more. I bet the...

    Cadillac F1 entry

Unfortunately, that phenomenon has priced people like me out of the market for tickets. I'm lucky enough to live in Austin, so prior to the recent frenzy, I had gone every year. Now my $300 seats are $1,500. And its sold out, so the entire 10 square mile property is shoulder-to-shoulder...

    DSX Lid Whine Results

Good luck on your whine venture. I love the pipes, but I that's the only part I enjoy. Whine just gets in its way......... I have custom mufflers, but can't wait to get the Kooks. It may be another year or two - letting that warranty elapse, but I'm getting them. A kid used to have a 5th gen...

    CT5-V CT5 BW Ported 2650 - 1010WHP

Very cool. Congratulations !! Was it half the cost of the new car ? Post 1/4 mile times when you can. :)

Has anyone owned both 4vBW and 5vBW?

I absolutely would've gotten the 4 if it had the naturally aspirated V8. But like you said............it doesn't, so I didn't.

Picked up my 2025 BW in Seattle today

Very impressive garage and car collection. Thanks for sharing and welcome to the BW family :)

CT5-V Thinking of coming over from an AMG and have some questions.

DD - its fantastic as a daily driver. Like you, I also am worried that my short drives are not enough to even warm it up. Thankfully I have other cars for those tiny errands. But this would apply equally to any ICE vehicle. Modern vehicles warm up very quickly though. Long drive - fantastic...

    CT4-V CT4VBW vs. Porsche 911 (991 Carrera S) - Am I making a mistake?

You should get LOTS of good advice - 911s are popular among BW owners. :) I love that blue. Congrats on the '81 Fiat. My 2nd car was an '81 Alfa Spider Veloce. Coolest name, and coolest shifter. But every time somebody saw it they invariably asked "Is it fast ?" ....And I had to admit the sad...

EV Thoughts Thread: cause the old farts did their usual thing

Agree with the lease idea. I guess its natural for the Saudi's to diversify away from oil. According to Google's AI answer, once EVs take over, about 2/3 of their revenue is gone.

EV Thoughts Thread: cause the old farts did their usual thing

Choice seems obvious. However, it still looks like an awfully expensive gamble. They just lost billions - with a 'B' - for all of 2024, with total revenue of only $800M. The press releases ignore that huge figure, and tout their $6B of total liquidity, but its hard to see how that will last...

EV Thoughts Thread: cause the old farts did their usual thing

I had the same electrical outlet added for my 11KW charger. It'll easily charge 100 KWH reserve overnight. My was as easy as possible though. Power comes to the house from the outside wall of the garage where I needed the charger. Installation was around $1,000 (plus price of the charger). I...

    Blackwings and Watches

Skeletons are very cool. There are budget, real automatic skeleton's out there as well. https://teddybaldassarre.com/blogs/watches/best-skeleton-watches?srsltid=AfmBOor2aew_z3gu6LFTnxg7XwM_Vxm-rfWTokGl6q3bkvQ-gJwciEH1...

    Blackwings and Watches

https://www.brodowatch.com/pages/must-read?id=item-kxubbr15&index=1&page=1 I knew fake watches must exist, but this is the first time I've seen carbon copy fakes being openly sold as fakes. They even claim to be based in the USA. Other than pure trust, how do you detect these ? Anyone ever...

EV Thoughts Thread: cause the old farts did their usual thing

I have driven a Tesla S, Tesla 3, Chevy Bolt, and just started driving a Cadillac Lyriq. I would never, ever buy an EV. All my vehicles are fast & loud - my 5BW, Ducati and Harley all have manual transmissions and straight pipes. I'd never have it any other way. However, if you are limited to...

Has anyone owned both 4vBW and 5vBW?

I'm used to ~150 mile range on my bikes, but stopping for gas is such a mild inconvenience. A trivial price to pay for enjoying a great ride or drive. With the bikes, gassing up before the day trip is ritual. Gassing up again when you get there is just another part of it. Like you said - it...

Does A Radar Detector Help Anymore?

I am not a Waze user either, but it does seem to be fully responsible for creating distracted drivers. People have to use the app on their phone to report these things, right ? How many do you think pull over to make such a report ?

    HUD without data recorder?

Polarized shades. I can't understand how they ever got popular. They are completely useless inside of a motor vehicle. They're even useless when I'm on my bike looking at the outside of other people's vehicle windows. I can see this as an obstacle to enjoying the HUD. Am I the only one who sees...

    HUD without data recorder?

Missing out on the PDR is my only regret in my order. The HUD is invaluable on its own too.

    Silver State Classic Challenge

I had a buddy who used to race the Silver State Classic every year. Its insane how competitive it is. The top 5 in each class are separated by milliseconds. And they're all just milliseconds away from the perfect target time. I believe they have open classes where its an actual race - fastest...
