CT4-V Blackwing Manual Transmission Engine Revving

Hasn't gotten worse and didn't talk to the dealer. it's just something the car has consistently done in certain rare but predictable situations. Based on talking to other owners, it sounds like all the CT4s do the same thing so I can only guess it's part of the cars programming, for whatever...

CT4-V Blackwing Manual Transmission Engine Revving

Almost 2 years after my first post on this thread, and still experiencing the same high idle issue in those sorts of situations. Never using rev match. I have a Corsa exhaust now, and a side effects of a louder exhaust is realizing how often the idle speed does something wacky. It's a small...

    Alignment

I don't think it is an issue with the 4, I was able to get the track spec rear camber and toe without any problem.

    Alignment

    Thanks @Neebs ! That's good news.

    Alignment

@Neebs it's a great question, you aren't alone with the overall issue even if 1.5 days is maybe a bit to do with driving style. I think anyone is going to wear out the outside shoulder first at the stock max camber and not get great tire life. The fast Camaro and atsv drivers are running...

    Suspension question

To the original poster's question, the factory street alignment spec is not aggressive. But, these cars sometimes come from the factory with an alignment way out of spec so it may be a good idea to get an alignment. @AC2024 "before" alignment is an example, my car was similar, it came with too...

Product Review: Corsa Exhaust CT4 Blackwing review

Greetings all, I've been living with the Corsa cat-back exhaust since early October on my manual transmission CT4 BW and it's time for a review! I attended the Corsa tour arranged through our Columbus Cadillac V-Club chapter and with the help of Tapout Tuning. Corsa needed one more car for a...

CT4 BW rear toe issues + try SPL toe link?

Hi all - after eight track days, I had my alignment checked and my rear toe had changed dramatically from the original track alignment. I'm late to the party in realizing this is a known problem with the alpha platform. Has anyone used SPL rear toe links on a CT4? ATS-V version probably? I...

    CT4-V Replacing rear rotors question

I had them removed to take the dust covers off for track cooling. You're not alone, access is really difficult. I wanted to do this myself on jackstands but gave up. Once I sent it to a mechanic and got it on a lift it turned out that you can more some of the hoses out of the way to get access...

Cincinnati OH. V-Series meet n greet.

Hi @DaytonOH CT 5 BW. It is a social opportunity to meet people with a shared interest and likely make some new friends. This particular event is at a dealer that will have some food and vendors. I'm the chapter director of the Columbus chapter and it has been an opportunity to meet people...

Pics of your Blackwing in regular parking spots

Met a new local BW owner for coffee making at least a fourth (@Dirkbg and @LF4472 and myself) in the central Ohio area. And found a new M3 in the lot on the weekend grocery run. Manual trans and a car seat, so the M owner's heart is in the right place even if the checkbook went in the wrong...

    Blaze Orange Orgasmic Overload

Yes @Dirkbg , I imagine for another month or so. Lot of upsides and only a few minor negatives with the high performance all seasons at least for cold month street use. I remember you asking about that in another thread recently, maybe we can catch up in person sometime soon and talk about...

CT4-V Blackwing Manual Transmission Engine Revving

Definitely not just you. Happens occasionally in my car too, rev match off. There's so much happening in the ecu between our foot and the throttle. I wonder if it is some anti-stall logic that isn't applied right? It happens for me most often after a fairly quick partial clutch release but...

    Spring Mountain Impressions

I've attached my video from the same lap posted by @TK42ONE, I'm the car in front in his video and in front of me is the instructor Josh. We ran about the same time on that lap (Ok, I was .6 seconds slower grr) but with me in a CT4 and @TK42ONE in a CT5. It gives some sense of the differences...

    Spring Mountain Impressions

Wonderful writeup @TK42ONE, and great to meet you and @rdollie last week. Glad I could give you a draft on your fast lap! Driving felt so much faster in the car than it looked on the video. I'll try to upload my video of that same lap so people can see the difference between CT4/CT5. I think...

A new competition for us all: Post your average lifetime RPM

According to the car (trip b hasn't been reset for a while) mileage is a robust 7 mpg! Tires yesterday only warmed up to about 32 psi. Maybe I wasn't trying hard enough... I'll ask @TK42ONE today about the CT5 mpg.

A new competition for us all: Post your average lifetime RPM

Live today from Spring Mountain - the orange #42 CT4 BW manual. Average lifetime rpm 3188.4.

A new competition for us all: Post your average lifetime RPM

This is fun, my CT4 manual numbers follow. I'm at Spring Mountain next week(!) and will check whatever car I use. Driving hours: 106.7-28.9= 77.8 Driving minutes: 4668 Total Revs: 976000 Average RPM: 2090.831 Despite a few "0" drives recently according to Smart Driver, that average doesn't...

Tapout CT4-V Blackwing Carbon Fiber Intake Test Results

Very interesting @WONT TAP ! How do you get the stock ECU to ignore the torque map? Looking at the chart there is more boost. Also, any change to the noise inside the cabin?
