I might have more questions about GM buybacks. I think my car is now loosing a main bearing as the oil temp is starting to look like the tach. Temps are going up significantly under even minor loads and it just started yesterday.
Do they cover sales tax or improvements like PPF and a second...
Had one of those as a loaner during one of my many service trips It had the turbo 4 and in crawled! But it did have two features I really liked. The phone charger actually held the phone unlike ours where it just slides over that little lip. Plus it would warn you that you are leaving a phone in...
I feel your pain! I have had mine since the first of last July and after the break-in period, it ran right for about two weeks. Been trying to get it right ever since. GM thinks it know what is wrong and my dealer should have all the parts in this week. Fingers crossed and good luck with yours...
Update - GM has analyzed the data I have generated and concluded that it is a fuel starvations issue. They have directed the dealer to replace just about everything from the high-pressure fuel pump forward. GM says they will look at all the parts and try and figure out which was the cause; that...
Latest update - Still no joy! GM decided to install a special data recorder that transmits data back to them. I have a button to push when the car does its thing. It isn't difficult to reproduce but GM didn't want the dealership driving it that hard. While I trust my tech, I understand. So I...
My thinking exactly. The other remedy is a refund but that might not include sale tax and I know it will not include PPF or the all-season wheels and tires I bought for the wet/cold days I still wanted to drive.
I am going to see how the data recorder works and give GM another shot or two or...
A brief update - After 2 months and three pages of replaced parts, it isn't fixed. GM even sent an engineer down to help with the process without success. I had taken the lead tech on a drive to show him what it was doing and he took the engineer out.
I now have the car back and the next step...
I just got my car back after 2 months and no, it isn't fixed. But I did get an extensive writeup on what they checked and replaced (a lot!). It is apparent that the GM engineer they sent to try and figure out what was wrong was familiar with your situation, I was a little confused by their...
I assume they saw material in the oil to diagnose the rod bearings. Just seems like a lot of people have had major engine issues and that is discouraging.
Closing in on 45 days and no joy. They have targeted the 6th cylinder and replaced ignition pack, plug, wire and now injector. They keep having to send files to GM and wait for GM to tell them what they can do next. I have talked with the service manager and the lead tech, all are frustrated but...
I am scheduled for March 20-21 and have a semi-long flight home to Indianapolis. Given we don't get done until 4:00pm, are you trying to fly out that night or staying somewhere and flying out the next day?
