    2025 5-BW Precision Package Questions...

I have been considering ordering a 2025 with the Precision Pack but I still can't deal with $18k. I track my 2022 occasionally and the iron brakes are so easy to service. Jacking the car up is a pain in the a** but the brakes are simple! Plus I have spent my time in the Goat Rodeo and not sure...

Has anyone used the Bridgestone Potenza RE71RS tires on the CT4-V BW yet?

Hoosier has a new Track Attack Pro 200 TP tire that I plan on trying next year. A lot of people running the Indy SCCA Time Trial events are running ViTour P1 tires that are 200 TP but they don't have sizes to fit the 5BW. So far. I have only run the stock Michelins.

    Track rats rejoice!

I really was trying to justify moving from my '22 to a '25 and the Precision Package plus the new PDR might have done it but not at $18k. Most of us that track the car don't really want the CCB option as the iron disks/pads are easier and cheaper to replace. I might be able to afford a $9k...

    Help! Battery Disconnect, Pad replacement

Never mind - It has something to do with having the FOB around. Taking it away eliminated the issue.

    Help! Battery Disconnect, Pad replacement

I am trying to do my first brake pad replacement on my 5BW and have a question on the battery disconnect. I disconnected the negative lead from the battery and got a soft buzz that stops for a short period and then starts again. That continues to repeat and I am concerned that I am missing...

    Allocation Process.....

I believe that allocations are based partially on prior year volume. Find out how many Blackwings the dealer sold the past few years.

    Pad for right knee rest?

Do what I do when I track my BW5, wear a knee pad on your right knee turned to the right. The Camaro offered an optional knee pad built into the console which was a good idea.

    Headlights suck

My last two Audis weren't much better and yes, they suck. US headlight regulations! Need to adapt European regs.

    BRAKE PADS FOR TRACK DAY

Another vote for OEM pads & Castrol SRF fluid. Not to hijack the thread but are you using the extra brake ducts provided and (most importantly) do you have to remove the disks to install them as indicated in the instructions? I ran in cool weather last year and brake cooling wasn't an issue...

2025 Cadillac CT5-V Blackwing Brougham Edition Sets Sail With Classic Caddy Cues

The text description left me in tears I was laughing so hard.

    Quirks of my 5BW

I assume you don't have an Apple phone and I know little about Android phones but the car supports both Apple CarPlay and Google. I used the Cadillac navigation once and it took me around in circles out in the country. I always use Apple Maps or Waze in Apple CarPlay so it is on the screen. You...

    Hello

If you scroll to Engine Maintenance in the 5BW, it shows both Total Engine Hours(like a boat) and Revs/10,000 which gives total revs for the engine.

GM Press Release: Introducing the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing

Just curious, what features did you have to provide a cc number to activate? I didn't have to do that with my 22 BW5. You nailed the parking package! I wear progressive lens glasses and there is no way I can focus easily on the rear view mirror camera. And the truck release rarely works. I...

GM Press Release: Introducing the 2025 Cadillac CT5-V and CT5-V Blackwing

The PR blurb states that a "service plan" $$$$ will be required for Google products. Will the 2025 5BW support Apple Car Play? I am trying to talk the wife into me trading my 2022 5BW in for a 2025. I love the new PDR and can live with the rest but I am not paying for a crappie user interface...

    Hello

They can't be "over reved" since there is a fuel cutoff and yes I have hit it a few times to save an upshift. You can force a mechanical over rev by downshifting a manual car into too low a gear and letting out the clutch but that should never happen if the driver is reasonable competent. But...

    Quality Dealer Service

If you are in the Indianapolis area, can not recommend Lockhart Cadillac more. They know how to take care of a Blackwing.

    Floor jack for ct5v blackwing

Air Jack Has anyone tried one of these? Asking for an "old" guy who is always looking for an easier way to do things. It looks easy to use and might work well for changing tires / brake jobs / etc. at home.

    5BW daily driver

I have learned to take my lunch break at the nearest gas station on track days. :)
