5k miles between oil changes is way too long? With all due respect, it's 2025 and the synthetic oil technology has progressed ton from back in the day. Go take an oil sample at 5k miles and send it for analysis and it will show it's got quite a lot of life left.
Obviously it's your car, do...
I'm the complete opposite. I've never really understood why people dislike them so much unless you're tall and need the headroom. I can't imagine anyone is actually driving theses cars in a manner where the tiny bit of extra weight from a sunroof is a problem. And I've never ever had a problem...
Never had an issue with the AC. And the ventilated seats are just that, ventilated, not cooled. I’ve never sat in a ventilated seats that really felt like much. That said, they do a fine job at keeping my back from sweating in the summer.
Bought these and never installed them. Decided that a carbon splitter around NYC might not be the best idea. GM Part numbers 84490400 and 84490401.

I was thinking about getting a Honda manual as a daily too. Right now I have a GTI that needed to be automatic at the time because my wife needed to drive it. I'm kind of considering selling both my GTI and BW and getting an E36 M3 for the weekends and maybe a Civic Si as a daily.
I had a US spec '95 M3 for a few years before I got the Blackwing. I think this time I'd want to get the completely full fat version if possible. There’s something about the novelty of having a Euro spec in the US that I like.
The Blackwing is already my second car. I daily a GTI, and because I put like 40,000 miles on my car each year for work and do tons of driving in NYC, I didn't want the Blackwing to be my daily.
I've had my Blackwing for almost two years now and it's the best all around car I've ever had. But I don't think it's the most fun car I've ever had. The tall gearing and instant speed makes it difficult to really enjoy it on the street. I don't really have the time (or quite frankly the skill)...
