I love sleepers, too, have owned a bunch (I really dig super powerful wagons).
But what is bothering me about this sleeper is the old man stereotype that comes with the Cadillac brand.
That may be taking the sleeper style to a comatose level.
Just my feelings after a couple months. No real...
Can I ask what the fascination is with the carbon backed seats?
I thought I was by default getting them as part of the CF1/2 package (the online guide isn’t clear that the $8k up charge on the seats is because of the aniline leather *and* the cf backs, I only ordered mid tier). So I was...
Maybe this has already been mentioned in this 17 page thread, but perhaps one thing I don't like about my 5BW is... that it's a Cadillac.
After 1100 miles of driving my new 2025 5BW, I'm wondering if perhaps I've taken my tendency for buying Sleepers too far.
I think the Cadillac brand has so...
Yeah, I prefer movable handles, but I've also found that the unlock feature is very picky to how close your key is to the car. That's what makes you pull multiple times, I think.
It was too picky, so I turned off the auto-lock feature. I don't lock the car manually at work or at home, so it cut...
Google Assistant is another way to quickly adjust volume, but it doesn't bring up the screen.
"Hey Google, lower the volume"
You can even whisper it. I am amazed how sensitive it is with its listening.
I'm not a fan of talking to machines, but I guess I better start getting used to it...
The steering wheel buttons control volume on the right and mute on the left (phone handset icon with X).
There is a screen controlled volume, but you need to dig down to it via the sound menu, so it’s not quick to get to.
Just did a 600 mile road trip with my 2025, still figuring stuff out…
Anyone know of a wide angle side view mirror lens like found on the passenger side?
Maybe one from a RHD car ( I assume GM made some CT5 for export markets)?
I dunno, I thought that way once when all I ordered were solid black cars.
I got sick of the non stop dust and ordered a high metallic black color one time, thinking it would hide the dust.
But every time I looked at the car, even when clean… it looked dusty.
(and not to belabor this bitchfest much longer, but the main reason this pisses me off is that they had this feature for the prior iteration of the car, got rid of it for the first year of the facelift… and then brought it back!
This wasn’t a case of a new software architecture or some sort of...
Exactly, I wrote verging, not “we should sue!”
This is more of a comment on what triggers civil suits: those who see the opportunity and have the means to pursue it.
Equating Caddy with lawsuit precedent in the exotic markets Is because of the financial means of the typical owners.
You may be...
Precedent is the exotic car market. One example is where an OE states they will produce X amount of cars in the model run, but then they produce more than stated. Claimed value depreciation due to higher than stated supply has resulted in actual suits.
Like I said: verging on lawsuit...
I am actually pretty pissed that they removed it for 2025 but are bringing it back for 2026. That's verging on lawsuit territory when an OE randomly decontents a model year, which could lead to devaluation.
I'm hoping the base integration hardware is there, and this may just be a mirror guts...
Yes on front camera.
And my wife took her first ride in our 2025 5BW this evening and her first question from the passenger seat was: where’s the volume knob?
Actually, maybe it’s a good thing that it’s missing. I have full control on the steering wheel.
So how do I find out about this event now that I’m a new 5BW owner? I wonder if it matters that I registered it through my business.
Everyone knows how to do the poor man’s race harness with the three point seatbelt, right?
