Gorgeous! I came very close to ordering this color. What's crazy is that there are so many colors that look awesome. I think the shape of the car just wears them well.

Not common that they let a dealer pick up a car from the rail yard. Maybe something has changed with the new carriers they are using. Previously, contracts would not allow them to do that. My 22 sat for a week at the rail yard 16 miles from the dealer. They weren't allowed to go get it.

I think staking the plug would inspire more confidence.

Absurd to tell you that it does not meet criteria for repair, then quote you a price to repair it. Escalate or go to another dealer.

If I'm in a manual trans vehicle, I'm never going to be lugging. That's just part of the deal for me and I don't care for the feeling at the lugging threshold.

That's going to be tough for a warranty claim on a used car. A dealer would have to be super sympathetic. Previous owner could have caused the damage like @1Evil55 said.

IDK why they would be trying to charge you anything, since it was clearly a warranty issue. The extended warranty is something I would surely pursue.
