Feeling out if there's interest for the CT4-v blackwing stock wheels.
This is the
18" aluminum alloy wheels with Polished/Dark Android finish
Wheels and car have less than 6500 miles and no curb rash or scratches. It does have brake dust on it which I can wash off.
Pickup in san francisco bay...
Bingo!
This is especially true talking of the c8. They took a huge step towards full on super car by going mid engined. But things like adding understeer and designing around the stupid golf club requirement are such maddening compromises.
Your (very subjective) take, and this is not the first time I have seen this is if it has 2 doors it’s a sports car and if it has 4 it can’t be a sports car.
The Camaro and the ct4 blackwing are on the same exact platform(the blackwing is actually a newer version of it) and on every dimension...
As someone who has both in the same household it’s close but I don’t think the rs3 is a much better car if we’re talking auto vs auto. The blackwing is still more fun to drive and rides better too. The rs3 is more practical and more fuel efficient. The rs3 engine is nice though.
I think there’s more nuance to this.
Especially with how good the alpha chassis is. For example do you consider a Camaro ss 1le a sports car or a regular car as it’s based on the same platform as a sports sedan? I think it’s a sports car based on the lap times we’ve seen it do. It was also...
For the ex Porsche owners cayman boxster folks specially, how much essence of the Porsche does the ct4 blackwing capture? Let’s say a manual ct4 blackwing vs a 6 cylinder manual or automatic cayman/boxster.
For all those saying manual 718 gts(and that’s most of you) have you driven one?
The gears are super long- you can be at 2nd all day and never go beyond that at legal-ish speeds.
Hmmm, different league compared to the blackwing or the z06?
The other reason for pdk on the Porsche is I don’t like the gearing on the manual cayman. It’s way too long.
Ha ha. Funny but on a serious note yeah, want my wife to be able to experience my cars. Also would help with consolidation, otherwise need an automatic fun car in the stable too.
Currently own a manual ct4-v blackwing but local dealer is willing to put me on a list for a msrp cayman gts 4.0 pdk
Pros for blackwing -
* Manual
* 4 doors - kid can ride in it
* Cheap to maintain and extended warranty is cheap
* paid for
Pros for 718 cayman gts 4.0
* pdk means wife can drive...
I have 3 cars calling out to me after the blackwing but they're all just out my price range right now.
Z06. If this reaches < 100k for low mileage examples its going to be a tough choice.
CT5 V blackwing(manual or auto) <80k takes it.
LC 500- I have an inexplicable love for this car. But...
I used to get really mad at things like this but I have now realized that its a car, its out in the real world and is going to get scratched, dinged etc. There's not much I can do.
PS- In this case the accord v6 coupe probably thought he was a cool car too and wanted to be part of the cool...
