Those look pretty thin(pads). Replacing them is probably one of the easier maintenance projects on a car. Basic tools only including a good jack and more importantly a solid stand to rest the corner on.
None. This only happens when I'm parking, typically reversing in. It always happens when I'm in the downtown area parallel parking and like clock work there is a family next to my spot looking at me like I'm a hipster dipshit trying to flex with revs.
I recall some folks having issue with RPM's jumping without input from the driver. I've noticed my BW4 do this many times, almost always when parking. I've tried explaining it to the dealer when I'm in but they can never reproduce it. I am of the belief the problem is in the automatic idle...
