Long term reliability of the 5BW LT4 unmodified

Well, I don't know about majority..., but my original survivor 86 camino has 358,000 miles on the original trans and motor. Maintenance is the true key to longevity. Now grant you...., I've replaced a lot of auxiliary equipment. (Alt,battery, water pump, fuel pump, air pump, ect) If it...

    Blackwings and Watches

no offence was meant, specifically for your hobby. I was just commenting on " time " as a whole. I put very little time into watching time. I will not let it dictate and command me. I choose to live life on my own lazy terms. : ) I live the life of..., I'll cross that bridge when I get there...

    Blackwings and Watches

Hmmmmmm, never have seen the value in watches...., because then you have to be accountable. : ) But then again, I don't wear jewelry. Just to show you how outdated watches are...., I was on the pickleball court the other day, and asked the kid on the adjacent court with the huge ass watch...

(Long) Cross shopped an RS7, M5, and CT5V Blackwing - I'm getting the Blackwing

Wagon ho....... I'll see your Avant, and up you with this bagged super sized American Olds wagon of mine. It's more of a "Custom Cruiser"...., than a bruiser.

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

That snow isn't going to shovel itself...., get at it.... : )

What did you do to your Blackwing today?

We got about 8 inches here in the burg. I couldn't even imagine taking my car out in this stuff. The air dam would essentially be a snow plow, and the ducting for the turbo radiators would be just filled with snow. But on the positive side of that equation, you would have ice chilled radiators...

CT5-V Why is the exhaust so quiet inside?

yeah..., I get it..., you want your cake and eat it to. When getting up the road, I like it in tour mode and quiet, however when going through tunnels, under overpasses, and between tall buildings..., I always hit the "V" button for that awesome rumble and pops. Not my normal thing, but when I...

CT4-V Girodisc brake job + general maintenance at 61K miles

Interesting....., noticed you only did the front brakes. How were the rear? I, along with 122 other BW owners nation wide are waiting on rear brembo brake pads. They are backlogged apparently. I've been without my BW since nov.18th due to no rear brake pads available. I thought I could do an end...

    Family Guy CT5 Blackwing?

Probably one of the few oddballs that likes the Family Guy cartoons, but I noticed on their most recent episode that Peter's boss drives a CT5 Blackwing apparently. The sedan has a very similar shape, the non descript badge in the front is of a caddy emblem, the rear taillights are BW, as well...

Conti Extreme Contact dws06 plus vs. Michelin Pilot Sport all season 4 ?

Roadhawk and I are in the same neighborhood, and he's correct about his assessment. My car came from texas with summer pilots. I found out early on when I purchased it in January sub 30's, hard asphalt, I might as well have been on ice skates. It was lost on me initially that the tread pattern...

    Michelin PS4S issue

well...., there does seem to be a common denominator it looks like. I mean..., I'd lean towards the tires, because I'm seeing a lot of the same inner wear issue. However, why does it seem to be located in the same area of almost all these tire? Does that allude to a suspension issue with the...

    Michelin PS4S issue

Pulled off my summer tires today, and was totally surprised to find this wicked split in my front tire. In all honesty, I'm surprised this didn't kill me because I get up the road fairly quickly sometimes, and this was just asking for it to blow out and send me over the guardrail. So a couple...

    4BW Floor/trunk mats

You are correct. I do have an auto, but I have to say the tuxmat with the dead pedal covering, as well as the rear hump and floorboard cover is very nice. I usually would have not spent money on fancy floor mats, but I have to say I have been impressed with their quality, and easy ability to...

    4BW Floor/trunk mats

Yup, purchased the tuxmat.., worth the investment. I'm glad I got them to keep the carpet clean. I recommend it.

    Window delamination, Anyone else?

Ok, so an update on the delamination of the front window. Turns out that GM's Bumper to Bumper warranty does not cover this type of defect for 36 months. They only cover it for 12 months...., which is crazy because..., i'm pretty sure the windshield sits between both bumpers. Anyone else heard...

CT5-V Oil change for ct5V BW

Well crap....., I feel Like I got a deal then from my dealer. I've got 36 months of free oil changes then. Then on the other foot......, they are making money off my brake job this week..., front & back...., hopefully I don't have to replace the rotors, then they will have made their money back...

    Window delamination, Anyone else?

Yeah, thanks for the insight..., but it's not the tint. I took a silicone blade to it to see if those were air bubbles, but they were not. Definitely in the glass. I got this car with 10,000 miles on it from texas. So I'm assuming maybe some heat issues. Also..., it's a advance production model...
