Why? They are not claiming any power increase. There isn't any from a catback exhaust. Its just a sound clip under load. Good clip, AWE. Thank you for that.
All my "key fob left in the car" notifications are turned off and the damn thing still honks half the time I get out of the car with the fob in my pocket and at times even when I am in the car hitting the start button. Driving me fn insane. Is anyone else experiencing this?
I went through the same exercise on my ATS-V. When it was time to install the downpipes I bought a while back, I reluctantly went to snoop around. After spending half an hour trying and failing to figure out how to disconnect and pull out the O2 connectors, I thought it was not a project I cared...
1. A catback exhaust is only for making more noise. It doesn't have any measurable improvement on torque output. Catted/cattless downpipes have nominal impact on torque output, unless you modifying heavily. With a JB4, I would consider them of no meaningful benefit. Certainly not worth the pain...
Not normal. I don't know if you are aware, but there is a long standing issues with shifter assembly and shifter linkage bushing rounding out very quickly going back to 2016 on the ATS-V. From what I understand, they haven't changed anything on the assembly and the issue still exists on the 4BW...
I swapped everything but the front seats and the armrest lid (still looking for that one) from upgraded black to scg. Its a night and day difference. I thought I would be OK with black but couldn't stand it knowing that there is scg.
I had them on a car in the past. Compared to MPS, they suck. They are ok if you are looking to save money and don't particularly care to have the best. Or even fourth best, honestly.
The lf4 engine generally sounds like shit. You don't want to run it completely unmuffled. From your description, I dont think you are going to be happy with the catless AWE either. I wouldn't be. This engine can only give you so much volume before it starts sounding like a piece of briken...
I have had years to think through this issue and towards the end of my ownership, it was often shuddering and vibrating on clutch release in first gear to a point that I could not take off smoothly. I did have to apply more throttle and earlier to try to eliviate it. It came and went seemingly...
I don't know....sounds like a recipe for a quick, copramised, half ass factory retrofit job. Maybe some oems can do it. I doubt Lotus can do it properly.
