    I'm out, for now

i bought one slightly used that had already significantly depreciated so yea, its a good placeholder while the 5bw search goes on

    I'm out, for now

this is a cadillac forum so i'm not going to try and convince anyone but i think the 4bw is a good car, not a great car and certainly not good value at $75k. the manual is its saving grace but the thought of owning something that was going to depreciate $10-20k within a year that wasnt all that...

yes the b9 is automatic and that was a factor but believe it or not its more exciting under wot than the 4bw was (exhaust note in particular) the supercharged b8 was great. had a manual one for years. the b9 is very similar but with much better interior

2k and yes, i agree. trade in offers were all over the place. one place offered 50k lol. highest offer was from cadillac in norwood but tbh i dont think anything they said was genuine/truthful i just felt like if i waited any longer it was only going to drop and i might as well get out of it now...

got 65k on 75k msrp. the sales tax credit amounts to about $5k so it made it sting a bit less

yea fair although i cant fathom they'll be successful.

respectfully disagree. having dealt with a dozens of different dealerships over the past couple weeks on trading in my 4bw and making offers on 5bw's the market is def softer on the 4's than 5's. i've not seen any 5 that's depreciated more than 10% within my area (only looking at manuals)...

Hah my bad. Got a b9 s4. Just a placeholder for now till the right 5bw pops up. I definitely will be getting one, matter of time, not if.

Traded the CT4 in this morning, went back to an Audi. While I liked it, it wasn't exciting enough to justify the $75k msrp imo (not looking to start an argument here!). I wish I'd gotten the 5BW from the get go but hindsight is 20/20 and after Norwood Cadillac screwed me on the one I was trying...

CT5-V Why is the exhaust so quiet inside?

arent you guys worried about voiding your drivetrain warranty on a $100k car just to have a little more sound? i know the burden of proof is on the dealer if they want to deny a warranty claim due to modifications but with aftermarket headers that doesnt seem like it would be hard to argue. cat...

i dont get the gt500 tbh. follow up to an amazing track car that could outlap most 911's short of a gt3 but for half the price that had a unique fpc engine and great manual gearbox. then you make an automatic only supercharger version that cant put any of its power down
