Nope. I never paid for onstar on my previous V and it was active for me.

Did anyone get their LN report and have it contain a shit load of incorrect data? I’m apparently associated with some Parish I’ve never heard of

I think I worded it poorly. It is only 6 months of data. But that data: 1) does not drop off if you sell the car 2) does not stop collecting data even if you don't have an onstar subscription So since I sold my old car in January, it should be gone by June off the LN report.

I sold my CTS-V and bought my BW in January of this year so I still have some data (on the LN report) from the old car there, even though I had no active onstar subscription on it.

Just an FYI that EVEN IF YOUR ONSTAR SUBSCRIPTION IS CANCELED/EXPIRED it will still send telemetry data. You ABSOLUTELY NEED TO OPT OUT using the app, or by calling them. I got mine today and it has hundreds of entries from my previous CTS-V YEARS after my onstar sub had expired. But only one...

    2023 CT5 Blackwing engine failure

I’m with you. Had both a 2nd and 3rd gen V with zero issues on the motor. As far as I know, nothing has been changed other than our cars now are “hand built” motors.

https://gmauthority.com/blog/2024/03/2025-cadillac-ct5-v-blackwing-in-cyber-yellow-metallic-first-on-the-road-photos/ After seeing these I’m happy I got my ‘24. I thought I liked the new front end but seeing this… I truly hate it.

    Anybody running amsoil euro 5w40?

I don’t think you’re going to find a lot of people running anything but the mobile one stuff because it’s the only oil approved by GM for our cars. Personally - For that reason alone I won’t run anything else. Its the only oil they keeps my warranty. And 15psi at idle is less than HALF of what...

That's on you. Personally, I have enough real life boogeymen to deal with to worry about a press release lying to me.

Please read the article. The car is not listening to you. They are using generative AI to respond to your questions, that's it. It even says it right in the article: "The OnStar IVA assists with common inquiries initiated by the non–emergency OnStar blue button push in GM vehicle." You push...

I work in an industry heavily influenced by AI. You are way, WAY more vulnerable talking to a person rather than letting AI answer you. I cannot stress that enough. This is an improvement over talking to a person.

Disabling GM's ability to track my CT5V Blackwing

What they didn’t tell you is when you sign up for onstar you are enrolled. No one here selected a smart driver subscription.

This just talks about responding to questions you ask with generative AI. I see no problem with that.

App is the not the differentiator on tracking you. The paperwork you signed and onstar activation is what does it.

For auto cars you can use it to remote start the car. For manual cars it's mostly just looking at data. I've used it to check fuel level, tire pressures, and even set a geofencing alert for when my car was in the shop getting PPF so I could make sure they weren't joyriding the thing. I actually...
