    CT5-V Pictures of Bare v CF1 v CF2

I think it's the photos. When you see a BW in person with the CF2, it's very noticeable - especially the CF rear diffuser. It's gorgeous! Someone asked if I had a photo of the rear end without the CF2. I did find one I saved in my photos because I liked the wheels. The photos below provide a...

How the heck do I replace the battery!

This is why my BW is currently at the dealer undergoing the 2-hour battery test.

How the heck do I replace the battery!

That clearly is its intended purpose. The problem is when the battery completely runs down after the vehicle has not been driven for 12 days, not several months of storage. That's when the thing becomes useless.

anyone have a Z06 and BW? or trade to a Z06?

I don't have a C8 Z06 but I do have a '21 C8 Stingray HTC and 5BW. For me personally, the biggest disappointment I have with my C8 is the damn DCT. I despise it. The shift points suck (way too short in first and second gear). There are times when it shifts harder than it should. The...

How the heck do I replace the battery!

I just bought the Genious 10. Very impressed with the product.

How the heck do I replace the battery!

I just bought one of these. It's useless if the battery is close to or fully drained. It is more of a conditioner/trickle charger than a full-on battery charger. Plus the thing gets hot as hell when it's charging for an extended period of time. At $195 it is no bargain. I'm returning mine to...

How the heck do I replace the battery!

I have a Deltran Battery Tender Plus. Since it only provides 1.25 amps, it can take days to charge a battery enough to start the car if the battery is close to or fully drained. I know this from personal experience over the past weekend—my battery was registering 6 volts. After two days of...

    CT5-V Randomly Waking Up?

This just happened to my ‘23 5BW. It sat for 10 days without being driven, and the battery went completely dead. I had to use the blade key from the key fob to manually unlock the driver’s side door. Now I’m trying to figure out whether I have a bad battery. I charged the battery and was able...

    Best Upgrades 5BW

I think once you start messing with pulleys, you’ll need to start tuning. The wideband O2 sensor can easily adjust fueling to compensate for the increased airflow into and out of the engine. However, once you begin increasing cylinder pressure, it’s a whole new ball game. I’d be a little nervous...

    Buying a pre-owned high MSRP 2024 CT5VBW or a new 2025 model?

Do you have documented proof that the 5BW and Escalade-V LT4s are different from earlier LT4s? This is the first I’ve heard of that. The only differences I’m aware of are that these engines are on GM’s Global B platform, which uses a faster and more encrypted ECM, and that they use wideband O2...

    Buying a pre-owned high MSRP 2024 CT5VBW or a new 2025 model?

I saw that all BW carbon fiber is currently on constraint. Don't know how long that has been going on but it may be difficult to find a 2025 with any CF stages. The absence of blind spot sensors on the manual '25s would be a deal breaker for me. I could live without the volume knob. It would...

    Gas Grade

I’ve long wondered why GM doesn’t offer FlexFuel capability in its high-performance models like the Camaro, Corvette, or Cadillac V-series. The modern LT-series engines thrive on high octane, and the cooling benefits of ethanol—especially in supercharged or turbocharged setups—are well...

Highly Recommend Bleeding the LT4 Intercooler

I used the DMS adaptor when I bled my ZL1. It worked okay. I just didn't like the acrobatics you needed to go through to reduce the amount of coolant that gets spilled in the engine bay when you remove the adapter. The Tap Out Tuning kit has a plug for the funnel. There is much less mess and...

Highly Recommend Bleeding the LT4 Intercooler

More along the lines of preventive. I owned a 6th gen Camaro ZL1 for almost seven years. In year six I decided to bleed the intercooler per recommendation of Ted Jannetty owner of Jannetty Racing. Jannetty likes to bleed the intercoolers while he has the cars on the dyno. Anyway to make a...

Highly Recommend Bleeding the LT4 Intercooler

Let me start with a rant: Why in the heck did GM not include an intercooler reservoir on its LT4 engines? The Hellcats have one, and so do the GT500s. Why GM insists on a closed system that isn’t truly closed makes me scratch my head. Okay, with that off my chest—I just finished bleeding the...

Just paid over $100 for an OEM air filter

I just bought an OEM air filter from Amazon for $37.43. Took 3 weeks to get it.

    Engine Failure

I purchased 100,000-mile B2B warranties with no time limit on my '21 Corvette and '21 GMC Sierra 1500. The deductible is $100. Both were purchased with the vehicle and cost around $3K.
