I've been wondering whether there is going to be a commoditization of EV drivetrains. And, if so, whether that will usher in a new era of coachbuilding.
The Low Volume Manufacturers Act of 2015 might have made that easier.

Jalopnik: GM Wants to Win You Over Without Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
subtitle: Some at the automaker think the fallout from their oncoming abandonment of phone projection systems will eventually pass
The gist of the article is that GM thinks people want...
I think there's as big difference between the those two vehicles.
I'm pretty sure that the people who designed the Multipla intentionally made it weird looking. And that the people who designed the Aztec (and Rodius) didn't.
Dood! I have a friend in the auto industry in Europe. He and his euro buddies actually use the word "rodius" as an adjective for something unredeemingly ugly.
Unlike, say, a Fiat Multipla for which the ugliness is a feature rather than a bug.
As for the BMW vs Cadillac thing: after...
I'm a "gentle shifter" as well, and came into BW ownership after 39 straight years of owning manuals - with 35 of those years being exclusively manual. I was initially struggling with the car. Your observations are much like my own.
I'm now have over 2000 miles pretty much the only real...
Back circa 2005 I was at an HPDE where a guy in an Evo lost his brakes after leaving the track. While making a U-turn in the garage area, he rolled into the side of a Gallardo at like 1 mph. Left a big dent on the Lambo's body behind the door. (I saw the Evo's in-car video, and the...
I hear a cricket-like bzzzt bzz bzzzt noise in those videos that is definitely not present in my 6MT.
The noise seemed to stop entirely when you had the clutch in, and then started right back up again. So I'd say there's something going on in there.
We have dual mass flywheels, which is a...
Y'all forgetting that soulsea once posted a picture of his car on a rotating driveway turntable.
He started this thread, and probably has the most egregiously off-topic post in it. :p
Not Blackwing-related, but probably of interest to the group:
Reuters: GM plans to phase out Apple CarPlay and Android Auto
Some choice quotes:
"General Motors plans to phase out widely-used Apple CarPlay and Android Auto technologies that allow drivers to bypass a vehicle's infotainment...
Holy. I've never seen a wheel bent in the middle between the rims like that. That's nuts.
If you were in Leakey I'll guess you were doing the Three Sisters? I'm in Houston and have been wanting to take my car out there - but didn't think I understood my car well enough. My prior experience...
Yeah, I've never grokked the driving shoe thing either. Never seemed to make a difference.
And now that we don't even have to heel-toe, seems like they would make even less a difference.
I'll be wearing Vans at Spring Mountain. If a bunch of Piloti-shod hotshots hand my ass to me there...
A guy on reddit says he recently picked up a 4BW 6MT from dealer stock for $505 under MSRP.
That's the first I've heard of someone paying below MSRP for a manual.
