    Driver engagement? Selling/buying...

Hmmm. Had not thought of that, the LC is gorgeous albeit expensive, and I didn't know that they still made the IS500, which is in the good price ballpark, but I'm worried may be as dull to drive as the IS350 is, and there are none anywhere near me to try. I think I mentioned above, I can get a...

    Driver engagement? Selling/buying...

It wouldn't be the first time... ;) Supra is gone, the market is strong with that one, and I got out of it rather painlessly. I did take it the track, had a bad spin, toasted the tires and had a come to Jesus moment as I was spinning, thinking to myself, maybe I shouldn't be doing this in a...

    Driver engagement? Selling/buying...

Well, that didn't last long. It's black on black, 6-spd, 9500 miles... PM if interested I guess you missed the part about wanting a comfortable quiet ride. I wish I could. HOA.

    Driver engagement? Selling/buying...

Apologies in advance for what will likely be a long and rambling post. I think I know what most of you will suggest, but I'm interested to hear all opinions. I've had the CT5-V BW for 19 months now. It's been basically problem-free, never seen the inside of the service department. I do my...

Wanted Shopping for first CT5-V BW

How about a black one? ;) Not sure how you wrote your request, you do or do not want a manual?

Am I crazy? Honest feedback wanted

I DD mine. My commute changed from 3 days a week, 14 miles each way, to 5 days, 35 miles each way. I debated using it for that, but aside from the gas mileage it is an awesome daily. No serious snow here to worry about.

Absolute Dearth of All-Season Tires for CT5-V Blackwing

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I don't mind spending a bit extra (I'm worth it) but enjoy saving money when I can. I'll look into the contis.

Absolute Dearth of All-Season Tires for CT5-V Blackwing

How about the Hankook Ventus V12 (summer) tires, has anyone tried them? They come in the correct size and are about $500 (set) cheaper than the Michelins. At 9000 miles, my tires are getting a bit too thin, and I'm hoping for something quieter. I'd prefer AS, but it doesn't get that cold...

anyone have a Z06 and BW? or trade to a Z06?

If you think that's bad, don't go shopping for a Porsche.

Absolute Dearth of All-Season Tires for CT5-V Blackwing

I've had the yoko advan summer tires (I'm not sure what the Evo variant is) and they were quite good. On other cars, natch.

What do you do for a living?

You should put in links to your work so that we can buy and leave you five stars... I retired after 40+ years in I/T not because I wanted to retire but because I just couldn't deal with the corporate b.s. any longer. My wife says that I am much nicer to her now and don't appear nearly as...

    Engine Failure

I wonder if this is an EPA thing. The cars/trucks engine configuration has to pass EPA tests for emissions and fuel economy. The water-like 0W20 probably contributes to the mileage ratings (why else would you use it?) so GM sticks with it rather than spending millions to recertify/test/measure...

    Prevent theft from trunk

That's a good point. I live in a very "desirable" and low crime town, but I've been a victim of theft and we had one well publicized incident of a guy breaking into a BMW X5 in a crowded parking lot in the middle of the day. We know this because numerous bystanders videoed the thief as he...

    Prevent theft from trunk

Is this really a problem? I mean, for people who don't live in SF or Oakland. Just because it's on the Internet doesn't make it true. Or so I've heard on tiktok... ;)

    Automatic Windows Up

BMW used to do this before keyless entry (it may still, I'm not sure) but only windows down, not up (d/t liability I'm sure). Years ago I had a aftermarket ODBII device that would permit this operation (via three clicks on the remote) to roll down windows on the C5 Corvette. I don't recall...

Dealer Couldn't Set Up Track Alignment?

I don't think that overfilling the oil will cause it to run hot. Using the wrong viscocity is possible, and I know that can be an issue with the LT4 (CT5) but I don't know what the V6 requires. Unfortunately, the days of a mechanic becoming the service advisor seems to be a think of the past...

CT5-V Missing Volume knob on MY25+

Well, of course most if not all of us plan to retire at some point. But I think it's mostly psychological - when the market is down, even if your portfolio is still good and your personal financial future looks bright, it's hard not to want to think defensively. At least for me, anyway.
