    CT5-V CT5-BW without goat rodeo?

I am also on my 2nd Blackwing (well 3rd, if I include the 4 I had waiting for the first 5). The first 5 did not have a sunroof, and I typically pass on them. The second car came loaded, every feature except ceramic brakes (ahem, a fellow esteemed member got that one!). Having now had both, I...

    Undercoating?

Hilarious and exactly what I was thinking! I cannot see the word "undercoat" without thinking of this scene immediately!

2025 Surround Vision Recorder switched to USB?

Congrats on your 5! Are you the guy who custom ordered a killer spec on a 22 or maybe it was a 23, waited the whole time, and then passed when it arrived? Maybe I'm thinking of someone else.

Factory carbon cars - how is your carbon fading?

Not the GM carbon that is junk, in this case.

Pics of your Blackwing in regular parking spots

Mine is all filmed and ceramic-ed too. I had never done "the works" on a car before this one, but we gotta preserve the BDT!! I get so many compliments on the color of the car, and the car itself. You almost can't go anywhere with it!! ;)

CT5-V 2025 CT5 Blackwings - have your dealer check oil plug on the front of the engine (Service Bulletin attached)

Sharpies, painter's tape, pry bars and blocks of wood. It's like I'm at the jobsite!!

    Nissan Z

McDonald Nissan, c470 & K. Castillo Pkwy. They also had one of the higher models, not sure what it is called. Nismo maybe? Salesguy said it is auto only. It did have cool Recaro seats. But the one in the showroom would be my choice as it was manual.

    Nissan Z

100%. Saturday, my wife and I visited our local Nissan dealer to look at a used car for our daughter. While we awaited our guy, I saw a Z in the showroom and sat in it. Manual, so I rolled through the gears. Much softer sensation than our Tremecs. Anyways, the guy walks up and says "You can...

    CT5-V CT-5 BW Noisy Engine

Yikes. The MY 2025s are not off to a great start. I think GM is drowning with 6.2L L87 failures and are probably being proactive to avoid swapping another LT4.

    Very slight rough idle 5BW?

Don't worry about anything except staying below 4000 RPM for 1500 miles. Break it in properly and you will have no troubles.

    Squeaking Seat Backs

Don stated "I have a 2023 Road Atlanta IMSA edition CTV-4 Blackwing" Car comes with factory carbon back seats.

2025 Surround Vision Recorder switched to USB?

Most manufacturers continue to cut features and add to the MSRP with each model year. The 2022 CT5-V Blackwing will forever be the King of value. At least the 23 and 24 still have BSM.

Pics of your Blackwing in regular parking spots

Photographic evidence of said drive?? Colorado is set for a warm week ahead, possibly 80 on thursday! Keen eyes just might see a Black Diamond Tricoat out and about. Starting in 1 hour when it rolls over to the mens Bible study 👍

    Engine Failure

I would wager most Blackwing owners did not adhere to the recommended break in procedure. On the 5, it is 1500 miles before exceeding 4000 RPM. I don't care what the gauge does at 500 miles, the manual says 1500 miles. I have seen countless CT5-V Blackwings listed for sale these past few...

    Engine Failure

No doubt the 6.2L truck engines are having substantial problems. I traded out of my 2020 6.2L Sierra half ton at 55k miles. The motor was glorious for me, never a single issue, but without question I was nervous to own it out of warranty. I do not see near the reports with LT4 as I do L87...

    CT4-V CT4V BW Seats Peeling

Like the others, I'm guessing that was owned by a big ol boy. How one gets in and out of a seat really affects longevity, in my opinion. Given where the wear is, could also be that he carried on that side, and part of his rig was rubbing on the seat. Nonetheless, I don't see this as a warranty...
