Agreed that GM/Cadillac's delivery and/or update system on ordered cars is broken at the moment. It can be frustrating for sure. My comment about "1st world problem shit" was taken from a perspective when looking at things as a whole. Some people are without food and water and are in constant...
Yeah I'm at 6.94% with an 807 FICO, but it will be paid off in July. Yeah MSRP was for sure the move back in the summer. I had to get it in writing for my deposit just to make sure. Now on Autotrader and Cargurus, if you don't need CF, they're readily available with less than 5k miles with...
I blame Amazon Prime and their damn 2-day shipping. You should see people complain when it takes an extra day or 2. I'm only 30 and 100% a Millennial, but being upset about a $70-$80k car taking longer than expected is some 1st world problem shit. These aren't a necessity and for most of us...
The headunit is probably expecting the resolution or some parameter/handshake between it and the screen. With this car being so new (and frankly little aftermarket support) and with everything being very locked down and secure, you'll need to find a clever way to read and alter values from the...
How accurate are the dealer "estimated delivery dates"? I'm assuming not very. Sales guy replied back to me that the car is in delayed status (surprise surprise), but their website has an EDD of 1/8/23. If it shows up anytime in January, or hell, even Feb I'd be happy lol.
They called me last week about a BW4. Wonder if it was that car. I figured I waited this long since July, and mine just reached 3800 status. What's a few more months?
This is barely modifying anything. Some filters, spark plugs, a throttle body and tune. I think 480-530whp / 500lb-ft would be the sweet spot for this car.
Probably depends on what you're getting warrantied.
Not sure how Cadillac dealers work, but JB4 is most famous on BMW's. And BMW dealer software is very sophisticated now. It detects piggyback and flash tunes, and BMW NA has sent letters voiding your power/drivetrain warranty. This is totally...
Yeah I saw that. I'm willing to hold out for flash tuning. I don't plan on voiding my warranty anyway and the car won't be here til November. Still plenty of time. It took 4 years for the B58 to get flash tuning. I'm a patient (but often impatient) man. :)
If nothing comes out, I'll probably...
Background: Came from modified 340i xDrive 6-speed. Made 530-540awhp and the B58 sang a great song + silky smooth revs. Build quality was meh, chassis was soft, and the manual was abysmal. My choices were limited to manual only cars.
Choices:
2017+ C7 Z06 7MT. Couldn't find the one I wanted...
Could this work remotely with say a local shop near me like Exodus Performance? Gonna be hard not to void the warranty once it's delivered lol.
Looking at the description of the DCM, it reads like a piggyback tune (coming from my BMW days and looks similar to JB4). Is this a temporary thing...
In addition to the deposit I have with Covert Cadillac in Austin, TX (MSRP + $2k protection package, mandatory), I have a custom order with Ken Batchelor Cadillac in San Antonio, TX. They're doing MSRP but must be a Texas resident, whereas Covert was willing to sell to anyone.
How does one get added to the registry? I just placed a deposit down on a 2023 BW4. I have the GM WorkBench PDF and the sales advisor says there isn't a link to the track the build status.
Order#: BXVB0B
Just secured an order for a 2023 CT4 BW. Covert Cadillac in Austin, TX is selling it to me for MSRP. They did require me to purchase a $2k protection package, but I have some options there. They also mentioned they can sell to anyone in the country, just needs to be picked up here.
