A new competition for us all: Post your average lifetime RPM

Came here to say this. The original equation is leaving in idle revs while taking out idle hours so the numbers are inflated.

    Key fob paint

Yours doesn't seem to have that gap I have at the opening section. Hmmm, hoping my 2nd order turns out better.

    Key fob paint

Got my red leather keyfob case. The quality is great. The only issue is fitment. It doesn't close all the way around the physical key/metal portion. That might be by design to slip the key in/out. Overall a 9/10. The V logo embroidery is a nice touch. Was $30 and shipped from Houston, TX to me...

    Key fob paint

Update on my attempt to clear vinyl wrap another car's key. Much more difficult than I thought and it didn't turn out great. Cutting away the seams isn't hard, just time consuming and tedious. But I prepped with rubbing alcohol and it didn't apply extremely smoothly underneath. Also it's a bit...

    Key fob paint

Update: I found this key fob cover and messaged the seller to see if they can engrave the "V" logo instead of the traditional Cadillac emblem. He replied and said he can. I sent over a few pictures of our key fob and he confirmed "of course I can engrave V logo." Just placed my order for a red...

    Key fob paint

Was instructed to post here. I've ordered some 3M clear vinyl tape and an X-Acto knife. Going to attempt it on another cars' keys before I try it on the Caddy's. I'll let y'all know how it does lol.

    Key Fob Cover

I ordered some 3M clear vinyl tape and an X-Acto knife. Gonna try it on my BMW keys first before I attempt it on the Caddy lol. How is the ceramic coating protection? Wonder how much that thin layer of ceramic would prevent chips.

    Key Fob Cover

Thanks! I tried to do a search for 'titles only' with the keyword 'key' and nothing popped up. I'll have to experiment with the search function more. Looks like painting is an option I didn't even consider or wrapping it red. Hmm you've given me some ideas lol.

    Key Fob Cover

Anyone running a key fob cover? Haven't found any that work with the "V" logo on the back, just the regular Cadillac emblem. I wish there was something official from Cadillac. Their accessories department is really slacking. I might just buy some PPF material and trying wrapping it myself.

Official Installation Video for the New Cadillac Blackwing Badge

How would 2nd owners of these cars obtain them? Through the dealer? I kinda wanna put this on the interior/dash area rather than outside. The CF gives it away anyway lol.

    window tinting quotes

I paid $500 from the dealer for ceramic tint (didn't ask what heat rejection level, but even lower tier ceramic has 88% rejection compared to 95% for the top stuff). That included all 4 windows, back glass, plus the upper part of the windshield. 5% in the rear 3, 25% in the front 3. I got lower...

    4 BW Idle

Might've been a worn flux capacitor. I'd get that checked out.

Looking Ahead--2024 MY Watch / News

If the ATS-V is any indication of the production length, the sedan was 3 years and the coupe got 4 years. I expect a 3-5 year run for this car. GM sold less than 5,000 combined sedans and coupes for the last gen. We might see 5,000-6,000 total. Meanwhile BMW will sell 40k M3's over a 7-8 year...

    4 BW Idle

My B58 wasn't super smooth at idle but nothing like this LF4. And that was pushing 530+whp. Just took me a bit by surprise for a luxury performance car.

    4 BW Idle

Okay got confirmation from the ATS-V / 4 BW FB group that it's very common/normal for LF3/LF4 to have a slightly rough idle and not to worry.

    4 BW Idle

My dealer had another used BW and I brought it up as a concern, and they said that one had the same characteristics: slightly lumpy idle and the rev dip if you rev it in neutral. Just wanted to ask the forums for further confirmation.

    4 BW Idle

Okay good to hear. It's super silky smooth when doing WOT pulls. It's straight-six like. Didn't expect this level of polish from a GM product. Might just be the nature of the beast, thanks!
  18. G.Newt

    4 BW Idle

Yeah I don't tend to rev in neutral often. Will put it in my mind as a "do not do" lol.

    4 BW Idle

Does anyone else's 4BW have an unsmooth idle? Is that just the nature of the LF4? Pulls strongly when going WOT. Very smooth, no misfires. Just the idle is a bit unsteady and I can see the rpm needle wiggle and slight vibration in the car and shifter (6MT). Also, if I rev it a bit in neutral...

When is the next aftermarket exhaust coming out?

I think I'll just do downpipes when the time comes. Knowing that even the muffler was designed for airflow under the car makes me not want to mess with all the engineering. Do we have resonators? If so, a res delete would be another thing on my list or an aftermarket midpipe.
