"Stagnant" lol. LT4 has tons of support and the LF4 can go 600+whp on stock turbos. 700+ on upgraded hybrids. This is plenty of power for 99% of people. If you're the 1%, I agree, this is the wrong platform.
I'm leaning towards those on my CT4 BW. How's the initial bite? Compared to my lowly Audi A4, the Blackwing doesn't have nearly the same initial bite. But the Audi's is way too aggressive. Trying to find something in the middle lol.
Hey @jonnywaffles11, is this something still on your plate for the summer? I recently fitted a 10.25" Android screen and while it works great, having something OEM is always best. @GTPprix if you could handle the coding, this would be an awesome upgrade.
BMW's have had subpar manuals for awhile. They're remote shifters, so less of a direct connection to the actual gearbox. The Tremec is more directly connected and feels like a bolt action rifle in comparison. There are kits out there for BMW's that mostly rectify that, but it's nice to have a...
I was just laughing at his entire response :)
And as far as capability, the S58 motor is king right now. And it's not like they're slouches on the track. I know this forum is biased, but I've owned BMWs in the past and this is my first American performance car. So I'm trying to be neutral. I'm...
If you need the auto so your wife can drive it too and you need the space for kids, get the G80 M3. And BMW's are fairly easy to work on. If you want the manual and don't mind the smaller backseat, get the Blackwing. That's really what it comes down to. M3 will be faster as well with a nicer...

See my post above. I'll keep updating it as I use it more.
It arrived today (2 day shipping from China). I have fully installed it now and it looks like it came from the factory. Fits very well. No loose gaps or anything. I can't comment on rattles, but I'm taking a 2hr 45 min road trip each way the weekend of the 10th. I'll update my observations...
I'd reach out to the dealer/GM and request trade-in assistance on a new Blackwing. The manufacturer (GM) *should* be more willing to jump on this. The car doesn't get branded as a lemon law (which greatly reduces the value of the car, a positive for the dealer/GM) and they can pay the difference...
The support so far has been great. They've answered all of my questions. All steering wheel / drive knob controls are retained. I ordered one with a small discount.
I too retrofitted something similar in a 2016 BMW. I rarely had to switch between the UI's. Once I set the settings I want...
Continental Extreme Contact Sport 02. Just as good performance as the PS4S. About 5-10% cheaper and a little quieter on the highway. They also run a bit narrower than the Michelins so you can get maximize tire width while minimizing chances of rubbing.
Those are 2 different things. That's trying to retrofit a screen that was never designed for our cars vs a product that is specifically for the CT4's. My previous experience with these aftermarket screens is positive. Good fitment and performance.
